It's probably more complex than that.I'm a little surprised the R36 isn't going hybrid. That's what the rumor mills have been saying for years now. I guess it was just cheaper and faster to reskin the R35 and do a little tuning here and there and call it a next gen.
Problem for our 4 year cycle is that it's been taken over by extreme policy changes, from both sides. And 4 years isn't enough for a manufacturer to bank on.It might be unless the US gets a new president in 2024 and they rollback all the EPA mandates or what not.
But i don't know how much a US president would be able to change things.

Personally I don’t tune on my own, rely on a good shop tuner which is important. I always ask for a ‘safe’ tune since it has to last an entire day of tracking, sometimes at high temps.Do you software tune your cars?
