I was on their notification list and got the email yesterday that they are available to order. After listening to the many exhaust options out there I am ordering the Borla Stype for my Proto 6MT with Chrome exhaust tips. I just like the throaty sound of the Stype better than the ATAK version. The other option I liked is the Z1 Touring exhaust. Sounds similiar as the Borla S type. I’ll share when i get it. Thanks.

I had the Borla S-Type on my 350Z, and not only did it sound great, the fitment was spot-on and installation was a piece of cake. If this one is as good, I'll be very happy.

Borla makes great systems. Nice to see them bring this to market finally. Its just a bit too small diameter for anyone looking to make 600+ HP in the future.

From Borla today:

Please be advised that the “S-type” and “ATAK” labels were reversed in our original Nissan Z announcement e-mail. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused!

The labels have been corrected below. If you’ve already placed an order, please confirm that you have ordered your preferred sound level.

I think I will be going with a

valvetronic exhaust system

nissan-400z-6.jpg

This way I can change the sound via the keychain

this is the same one i got for my Z, the rasp is controlled really well with the valves closed

what i like is you configure at what rpm and what boost you want the valves to open.

they also offer the full race downpipes which is also what i got

Looks Like a really well built and designed setup. I just ordered the Borla Stype for My 23 Proto. I'm considering this Version for my 24 Nismo. @MapleOne please post pics/video of your install if you end up getting the armytrix exhaust.

The Z proto gets a Borla Stype exhaust today. It was super easy to install. Fit and finish is what you would expect from Borla! Sound is exactly what I wanted as well. Now I really enjoy driving this car. Stock exhaust was puny and way to quiet / no feedback . Yes I love the sound. Highly recommend Borla!

What exhaust will you go with for your Nismo?

There’s a good chance that I will keep all aspects of that car Nissan/Nismo. So I Am seriously considering the Nismo Titanium exhaust.

It’s been a few months since you have had the borla. What are your thoughts so far? Can you post any more clips?

also, does anyone know if borla makes the Nismo street exhaust too? I know they make the track one.

So I think I am leaning towards the borla exhaust. Borla made the Nismo street exhaust which is 2.25” and the borla is 2.5”

As long as having a borla exhaust doesn’t void my warranty that is …

How is this on the highway? Stock pipes are a little drony for me, and I'm worried aftermarket will just be louder.
