If you have an upgraded heat exchanger it’s a lot less of a worry because what dictates horsepower production is the charge air temps (CAT)more so than intake air temps(IAT). Now because the standard heat exchanger is way too small it’s more of a problem because the CAT’s were likely going to be horrible prior to the open intakes. I have the CZP H/X which is 3.2x the capacity of the OEM H/X.

I had Z1 carbon fiber intakes installed on my NISMO ‘27 and wish I could hear the turbo spool/“pssssh” noises. What would I need to do to accomplish that?

Yea, I have the k&n CAI, they will make turbo noises, they are in a open top box with gasket against hood(or very close), the oem tube through grille for stock intake didn’t match up 100% to k&n box inlet, could bother some people
