Good high-quality full synthetic ATFs will solve that. Redline is my brand of choice, but there are plenty of others that will exceed the performance of OEMs. Amsoil, BG, Valvoline...to name a few.By cold, I meant the transmission not being up to temp. My bad. When it's actually cold (below 50F), the lurching and sluggishness gets noticeably worse. When it's above that temp and I'm cold starting the car, the transmission is slow but not overtly sluggish.
For example, in our Jeeps when we lived in South Dakota, the OEM Mopar 8/9 ATF and ATF+4 just didn't cut it in those brutal winter temps... Insert Redline D6 ATF and C+ATF and it's a whole new ballgame. Again, just as an example, everyone will have their brand of choice so work with the local specialty and/or performance shop you're comfortable with.
