I took my Nismo out yesterday to do a side job with the oem Dunlops, and it was fine because I drove completely without hitting boost the whole way and there was no visible ice on the road.

Took mine to the airport last Tuesday. About an inch of ice on surface roads in North Texas at the time. Did one 360° on a slight down hill portion. Luckily it was a super wide section of road with nothing to hit.

Summer tires...

I daily mine, but with actual snow/ice on the road I'll drive something else. The Nexen's are a hug improvement from the stock tires, but without 4wd this car isn't going anywhere without semi-decent road conditions.

I drive my NISMO Z on Long Island roads daily, equipped with Michelin PS AS4 tires. As a precautionary measure, I also carry snow socks for temporary use in case of unexpected heavy snow!

I guess it depends where you live. In Edmonton, Alberta, Canada it wouldn’t matter what tires you put on your Z, it wouldn’t be going anywhere. I drive my Xterra in the Winter.

Right now it’s tempting to drive mine in Calgary, as we’re currently experiencing mild chinook temps. But I’m siding with others when it comes to salt and gravel Concerns. Mine is staying garaged and covered.

South Jersey. Daily Driver. Pilot Sport 4S.

Fine in the cold. The Pilots are much better than the stock tires on basically all situations.

Just had a big storm here and still getting around OK. Just have to be careful in snowy/icy patches.

Running Michelin X-Ice snow tires with a square wheel setup on my Nismo. No problems so far other than the parking sensors going off when you stop every single time if there's snow on the sensors. There's probably a way around this...
