'24 Black Diamond Nismo Z Build

Taking delivery of a used '24 black diamond nismo z and I'm looking forward to sharing the build.

The mods on the car already include a SOHO custom 3" exhaust, Boosted 6 full downpipes with high flow cats, GoRaceBox off the shelf tune, and AMS 80mm intakes.

I have ordered the following parts, and will be looking to focus the build on being daily drivable, 93 octane fueled, properly stanced, and set up to go fast around corners rather than just in a straight line.

I've done research on the forum (thank you to all who have documented your mods & builds), and I'm hoping to give back wisdom as well. The car has 4k miles on it. By the time it hits 25k miles, I will be switching to coilovers, forged adjustable front upper control arms from Z1, and will be adding more suspension components like solid bushings and braces.

As a side note, I run the Unlockable Character YouTube, and I cannot wait to create videos on the Z. I'm sure we will see many more enthusiasts start to understand how special the car is as time goes by.

I don't remember if the fuel starvation issue afflicts the Nismo trim... If so, obviously since your build application is track oriented....consider adding the fuel-tank/baffles upgrade to the list... Looking forward to reading progress posts and enjoying related pics.

Here is a link to the 2027 Nismo upgrades and fuel tank OEM mod article in the ZCCA (Z CAR CLUB ASSOCIATION). If there is a comparable aftermarket kit, I have not seen one yet; all advertisement that I have seen (prior to the release of the current Nismo fix,) are related to fuel-pump upgrades and/or applicable gadgets on the pricier end. Often a prevailing easy fix mentioned in the forum, is to track with adequate fuel levels.

At any rate, a call to a Nissan service department may answer the question as to availability of the new fuel tank kit and cost of upgrading the fuel tank (labor). It appears that the prevailing consensus among Nismo owners is that Nissan should officially issue a recall and retrofit the Nismos with the fix.... after all, the car is advertised as a track ready performer.

If you don;t have the NISMO front Strut tower brace, let know I will send it to you. I have a Performance will all NISMO extras from Nissan but am going for carbon fiber instead. No charge.

Yeah, I found with their nismoparts site, if you just click through the available dealers you will get varying degrees of discounts.
