Sitting here on a rainy day dreaming up ways to spend money... Any reason why the revised shifter from the 2027 Nismo MT wouldn't fit a Sport/Performance trim? I typically like to do something with my shifters to tighten them up, but it seems like the Nissan engineers already did this for us to avoid the drawbacks of an aftermarket unit while shortening the throws and stiffening the bushings.

The price of the assembly is steep at $400, and would likely need a new knob to go with it, but besides that... Thoughts/comments?

also looking at short shifters.

any idea how the new shifter is different to tighten up the shifts - polyurethane vs rubber? - it still has an isolator for vibration. I’m guessing vibration took priority…

looks like they are still using the same nylon ball socket cup

What about that bottom bushing? The Nismo one appears nylon where I'd expect the standard one to be rubber? It's likely they also played with the durometer of various bushings and materials. They're of course vague on the exact changes, but have mentioned 20% shorter throw (6mm?) and stiffer mounting/linkage and seem pretty excited to highlight the change. In theory, they should offer this as an optional performance upgrade for lower trims, I'd think.

Here's my '24 stock shifter. You would have to find someone who pulled the '27 nismo shifter for comparison.

Toque solutions next to it. Soon to be for sale.

that end looks good (maybe a Delrin bushing) i wonder what they did with the isolator on the top side - not much shorter, but that could be increased with a short recessed ball.

Yep, I broke my shifter when trying to force the knob off. This was human error with to much UGGA DUGGA 🤣

I've never been a big fan of anything Torque Solutions, but very curious about your thoughts vs. stock, why you're selling it, and what you're going to next.

Perhaps the Stillen shifter is the one to go with?

So it appears the bottom bushings are same/similar (white nylon?) based on the above pictures.

Anyone driven both?

Stillen starting to look good. Can easily cut more threads on the shaft to drop the ball and looks like you could replace the isolator bushing with polyurethane - or is it already polyurethane?

i like the assembly - easy to replace the isolator bushing.

Bought the Torque Solutions on a whim since I wasnt prepared to replace it. With others already confirming it fit the RZ34, it was a no brainer and straight forward install. CZP had it in stock and it was cheap for a quick fix.

It did help with shifting into gears smoothly and more swiftly. Its a short shifter with ball bearing pivot point. Bearing does rattle slightly but not noticeable with music playing in the background. Uses stock socket cup.

B&M short shifter, Hurst Performance, and Coolerworks are the ones Im looking at.
