Hopefully they can keep the mid-engine dynamics.

I can't see myself buying an EV sports car while ICE equivalents exist, but this at least gives hope that they won't all be appliances by the time I'm out of options.

Is it all-new from the ground up? Or did they just retrofit the current model with a battery pack and electric motor alongside a new exterior sheet metal?

EVs handle much more neutral due to the low CG, plus the quad motor potential. Just look at the Pikes Peak attack by Unplugged Performance. I'm already impressed by the handling of my MY Long Range.
