All - have a 2024 Z Performance 6 M/T and am considering the following Nismo parts modifications. Would appreciate it if anyone can share their feedback/thoughts/experiences with any of these:
1. Nismo Sway Bars - Front and Rear. Also what would be the appropriate settings to tighten up/button down the car's handling for street driving (OEM+). Do I also need to purchase Nismo end-links for these? How does the car handle once changed?
2. Nismo Coil Overs - Same question - what settings would be best (front/rear) for OEM+ feel. How necessary are these once the sway bars are changed?
3. Nismo Street or Nismo Track exhaust - why pick one over the other? Any issues with passing emissions inspection (NY)? Would it make just as much sense to purchase/install the Nissan original mfr. cat-back exhaust that is currently equipped on the Z 9 A/T cars? Looking for improved sound but no drone.
4. Thinking of having my local Nissan dealer obtain the parts and do the installations? Thoughts?

Thanks to you all.

I'm going to try to give you as practical and direct advice as possible, so please accept this an honest response

1) If you're driving the car on the street you won't notice a change in sway bars. They are intended to make up for deficiencies in any stiffness under dynamic conditions, and to fine tune the front/rear balance of the car when turning. On a trip to the bank, you aren't doing anything that is pushing the car to those limits

2) Nobody can tell you what is comfortable to you except you. If you get adjustable coilovers, you should start in the middle and adjust to your liking.

3) No experience

4) Your Nissan dealer is unlikely to offer you the best rate. I strongly suggest shopping around, focusing on shops that have experience working on modified cars, and make sure they have an alignment rack and experience with aftermarket parts, even Nismo.

As for pricing . . . always shop around.

Allot to unpack here, none of the parts are made my Nissan that you call "Nismo", and there are other better quality aftermarket parts that will deliver better value and performance.

I've got all Nismo performance mods. Coils, Heat Exchanger, CAI, Engine Strut Tower Brace, and the Nismo Street Exhaust.

1. Nismo Sway Bars - Front and Rear. Also what would be the appropriate settings to tighten up/button down the car's handling for street driving (OEM+). Do I also need to purchase Nismo end-links for these? How does the car handle once changed?
I plan to get the redesigned Sway bar when I'm ready. I will be buying the Nismo end links. I was ready for this upgrade a few months ago, but they were out of the links at Nissan at the time.
2. Nismo Coil Overs - Same question - what settings would be best (front/rear) for OEM+ feel. How necessary are these once the sway bars are changed? Nismo Coils come at a pre-set OEM setting. I did not make any changes and find it firm, but comfortable. This is not my daily car though, so take that as you will.
I have the street exhaust. The difference between the two is strictly sound. I would have got the track, but got the street at a steep discount from the Dealer as it was a 'take off' from a showroom display. I have the AT. No drone.
4. Thinking of having my local Nissan dealer obtain the parts and do the installations? Thoughts? I had Nissan do my install. Coils, Heat Exchanger, CAI, Exhaust all done at one time and was $1000. Included all labor and alignment.

Pricing on parts varies from dealer to dealer. Shop around locally on the Nismo parts site, but use the different dealers until you find the right price.

Enjoy.

Alright, so I’ve just done or am doing basically everything on this list! I just had the NISMO coilovers and sway bars put on yesterday. Definitely worth it in my opinion! My local dealer priced matched the best online retailer (wouldn’t do eBay where where you could find slightly cheaper). I had them lower it about .5” or so as roads in NE tend to suck this time of year and in general, the front I have at 3 clicks off of softest and back 4. The sway bars you won’t notice unless you are taking a fast turn and especially if on throttle, so because of that I would agree with OptionZero except for the fact I was buying them for about $350 and it really didn’t add to my install cost so under the category of while you’re in there let’s just do it…. For the sway bars I had them install them on the sport setting.

I’m very happy with how the car feels now and it really is how it should have came.
It still feels like a GT car but just more planted and a little more playful. The settings I have them at are only a little more firm than stock and I think I’ll probably go up a click or two more in firmness before I leave them alone.

Now for exhaust I got the A/T catback second hand and so far I’ve only put on the axle back and it’s way louder and does drone pretty bad, however, in the next week or so I’ll put on the resonated mid pipes which I’m guessing will fix it. Like you I just want a slightly louder deeper sound, definitely a mature tone but sportier! Plus the OEM tips are pretty nice so I like the idea of keeping the OEM look. For emissions a change in your cat back should have no impact on emissions, the only issue I could see is if your area has a sound ordnance if you go too loud.

Besides all that the only other things I have on the car is the NISMO CAI which is a huge pain to install but does give a little more induction noise (well it did until the AT axle back was put on)! Then continental DWS 06 plus tires which are way better than the factory Bridgestone 007s especially under 50 degrees! You have a good list, go do it!
