You’re my hero, I’ve got the money put away, but hard commuting to 80k for a 30 year old car. I’m turning 50 soon; and itching to buy myself something; but im torn between NSX and a GTRI did a bad thing.![]()
It's crazy to think of the 4 or so NSX I've passed on over the years including some R32s because I thought prices would go down or I could get a better dealYou’re my hero, I’ve got the money put away, but hard commuting to 80k for a 30 year old car. several years ago, I was looking at NSX’s, and 996 turbos, both were in the 30’s or 40’s at the time. I ended up not pulling the trigger. Now, they are double and in the case of the Porsche almost triple. It's crazy to think of the 4 or so NSX I've passed on over the years including some R32s because I thought prices would go down or I could get a better deal
Now everything is double or more...
I didn't pay anywhere near that much. It's a 91, 5sp, clean title, w/ 170k. I pulled the trigger because she was local and had $5k of maintenances work. For respect of the seller I can't publicly disclosed the final price, but I can say I paid just a hair more for it than this salvage one ($47k w/ fees) at IAAI.You’re my hero, I’ve got the money put away, but hard commuting to 80k for a 30 year old car. Same, I had the chance to buy a clean title NSX for $20k back in 2010 so I had the same reasoning as you. These things were gonna be dirt cheap as time goes on so let's just hold out. The crazy thing is prices weren't too bad until COVID hit. Decent ones can still be had for around $35k-$45k.It's crazy to think of the 4 or so NSX I've passed on over the years including some R32s because I thought prices would go down or I could get a better deal

That's why these things command such a high price, for it's day, it was a "supercar" that ran like Honda, and parts were cheap and easy to work on.Yikes, 320k on the odometer.
That car is in exceptional condition for it's miles. They don't make cars like that anymoreYikes, 320k on the odometer.
I was wondering why this car looked so familiar. I chatted with the owner a few years go. He's been trying to sell it for a while now. He wanted $75k obo and the auction is currently at $63k with 6 days remaining.Yikes, 320k on the odometer.
