Just got an email today from my salesman that he'll be calling me April 1st with more info ?

To say I'm excited is an understatement, especially because I'm 3rd on the list.

Oh gosh I hope it’s actual news news, and not something naff like it’s coming in a manual ?

OMG if he calls me with something like that I might just lose it a bit ?.

At worst, I think it'll probably be something to the effect of "hey we can take your money now! No other details yet though."

Prefacing this by saying I'm skeptical this is happening, and encouraging everyone to take it with a grain of salt since it appears to be an isolated event ( @McLovin157 have you heard anything? I think you're the only dealer-associated person we have on here), but IF it is true, I could see it playing out like this:

a) it's not actually for sale, but simply a showroom queen, to build hype between now and June
b) mark it up to hell and back and/or be very hesitant to sell it, similar to what we saw with the GTI release in the early days, namely because of lack of inventory

Happy to eat my words if I'm wrong, but given there remains so much we don't know, I don't see how they could rush to fill in the gaps in just over a month. Would also think that, if they were to get one/dealer, markups would be astronomical and that could kneecap the launch.

It was Ryan Grady in Greenwood SC who told me that. Since then I called and spoke to Chris Crosby the GM and he told me he wasn't quite sure when but he said that all dealerships would be getting one at first.

I just texted the sales rep Kyle at Dick Smith Nissan on Two Notch road in Columbia, SC. He said production starts in April and each dealership will initially receive one Z. They can’t order but must just take whatever Nissan sends them. They don’t know when they will receive that one. He thinks orders will start in June. They have three locations here in Columbia; each one will get a Z.

This is not happening at all I don't think. In Canada we have the yellow Z and it was in Toronto. BUT it got off the boat in Vancouver which is where all the Sea Cans come. My guess is the press car from Toronto will make its way to Vancouver next.
