Dan hasnt said anything about manufacturing ….check back on the thread because I couldn’t remember him talking about it, and there isn’t a single comment from him about manufacturing unless it was before Jan which would make the point moot.

I believe they are manufacturing, been pictures of truck loads of them coming out of Japan

Yup, VIN being assigned to all of the Z's we have seen, last one I saw was VIN -0062 so presuming that was the 62nd Z manufactured

61 test cars?
that seems a tad excessive
they have to be in production…maybe not the us models but the right hand drive Japanese ones have to be.
just too many for them not

First post here but have been reading for the past 9 months.

I put down a deposit for a launch edition spec Z on August last year and have been getting regular communication from the dealer. mostly there has been no news at all. Yesterday out of the blue I get a text message from the dealer stating and I quote "I have heard a pretty strong rumour that the Z is possibly going to be a June release"

The dealer I am working with is a very reputable dealer and known for factual information. This is quicker than I initially thought and would be very happy if delivery is June.

Nothing concrete of course but to date it is the closest indication of an impending launch.

I don't have any information on pricing yet, but we will have more information in the coming weeks. The dealer said there are 26 people on the waiting list for a car, and he only has 3 allocated. 1 launch edition car and 2 others.

In the short term I now need to decide if I am going to sell my current car or but the Z and enjoy it. I am guessing they will be selling for significantly more than listing price second hand for the first 12 months so it would be silly not to take it!

It has his jumped the Qashai release which was supposed to be first.
I had my deposit in this time last year…so patience is wearing out ?

Is reservations open in the US? I know it is in Canada.

Our reservations in Canada closed the week they opened due to selling ALL the allotted pre-sale units. I was the first in our city according to my dealer.

I have ordered a launch edition Z or proto spec as some are calling it. I will head over to the Aussie thread and read up on it.

I was told by a dealer in South Carolina that in April every dealership will get one 2023 Z. After that then they will start coming in June.
