I’m wondering about this myself. I have very much considered this exhaust but I’m worried that the drone will be too much. Some say it doesn’t drone and others say it does so it’s very subjective.
Unfortunately, after a long search, I have not been able to come up with the templates. However, I did speak to the Nissan technician and he advised me to pop off the round covers under the hatch and drill dead center. He said that’s what he would do if he did not have the template. He said...
Hey, thanks for the reply. It looks like a good fitting and good performing exhaust. Sounds pretty good too, but I don’t want drone. I think I’m allergic to it. 🤣.
Hey, I’m the one that created that thread that he sent you. I’m at 1800 miles and my car has the smell only when I really start to get on it. The smell quickly dissipates. I don’t usually smell it when I’m just cruising around. I really think it’s some type of engine bay material or rubber...
I agree, it’s definitely well priced compared to its competitors. Everybody says the fitment is spot on as well. I’ve been thinking about pulling the trigger on this one myself. How’s the interior noise? Drone, etc.?
Hey, it’s all good. I found somebody on Facebook that mentioned that he was a Nissan tech and installed the spoilers all of the time on the sport models. I’m waiting on him to respond to see if he can get me the templates.
lol… yes it is definitely cringe worthy. I have done this before on another car, but man is it nerve-racking.
I did call the dealership and they gave me the link to the PDF. But in the instructions it states that you use the template that comes with the kit to drill the holes. The templates...
Hey thank you! This definitely gives me an idea. I’m hoping somebody out there has the template but if not, I may just have to do the best I can without it.
I called my local dealer and they pointed me to the directions on the Nissan website. It is 10 pages and I went through it. However, when you buy the OEM spoiler from Nissan, it comes with a template to know where to drill the holes. I guess I’m going to have to figure out another way to do it.
Hey everybody, so I found me a used OEM spoiler for my 24 sport. I was planning on using only 3M tape for the install. However, I’ve decided to make it a little more secure and use the bolts on each end + 3M. I can’t find a template to drill the holes though. I was planning on making my own...
I open the hood as well after I pull into the garage. I actually do this very often. I’m in Texas so it’s super hot. I leave the hood open for up to an hour to let everything cool off. I then go back out, shut the hood and then close the garage door. Probably excessive, but it makes me feel...
The smell lingers only for a few minutes. Even after closing the garage I don’t really notice the smell. I popped the hood as soon as I pulled into the drive and I could smell it. Definitely not engine oil. When you say burning paint I assume you mean the paint on the motor?
Just checked the oil and it is full. The level is right at where it was when I drove it off the lot. That’s a good idea on the plastic bag. I’ll get them to check that out when I get the oil changed.
Thanks for the reply. I have popped the hood numerous times and have found nothing. Oil cap and dip stick nice and tight. I plan to do the first oil change this next week so it wouldn’t be anything related to that. It doesn’t smell like motor oil to me though. I would almost think it’s...
Hey everybody, I did a search but didn’t come up with anything. My 24 sport with only 1300 miles has an odd smell when doing a little mild spirited driving. Finally past the break-in so I’ve been giving it a little bit of gas but honestly, I really baby this car. It’s like a burning smell. I...
