(Bottom line up front: I want the driver to be 100% healthy and uninjured)
I want to find a wrecked Z that the whole front end has been knocked off so I can look at the AC / heating air passages, and find the low spot that becomes a SWAMP.

Went with 245/45r18 up front, and 275/40r18 in the rear. I would NOT go wider than 275 on the stock sport rim. (This is written on an official tire guide somewhere. Can't...
There is an old article about the Shelby High Performance Driving School that used to be at Riverside. It went in to the amount of study, walk the track, drive it slow over a line on the track, etc that Brock would put them through before taking turn 3 (?) at speed. It was as constant radius...
I am always amazed at the engineering and attention to detail that goes in to tracking a car. Not a full-blown race car. But if I was to do a track day with my Z, how inadequately prepared I would be, and how lacking my knowledge is. Thank you all.
Clay "bar"? Look in to a clay mitt or clay cloth. You don't miss a spot. Why not? You make larger, flatter passes over the surface. Clay bars are technically abrasive, and you should buff after using them.
(NOTE: I couldn't see any swirls or abrasion when I did my car with 300 or so miles...
I believe the stock tires across the Sport (me), Perf, and Nismo are all equally worthless.
Just out of curiosity; You mention wear in the MIDDLE. What is your tire PRESSURE? I'm asking because my wear was on the outside edge of the tire. (Yes, I know it is 2 different tires, and 2 very...
For troubleshooting purposes, What if you put a nickel or two inside of the two red circle holes? It would hold the hatch "UP", but would eliminate the bounce rattle.
Yes, it will PROBABLY induce an air leak sound. BUT, it will tell you if the lock hoop (Top, center, not circled)
is too tall.
As opposed to the one-bucket method, which is using a soapy microfiber and, when done, setting it off to the side. (NEVER reintroducing it to your clean soapy water. It's next stop is the washing machine.
If I recall correctly, there are a bunch of little plates and things inside the back part of the bay. I stuck sound deadening over all of them.
My tinnitus is now louder, so I must have cut down on some of the ambient noise emanating from the rear!
For y'all with the Sport, myself and @Who.Am.Eye.2716 recommend the Continental DWS06s.
Went with 245/45r18 up front, and 275/40r18 in the rear. Stock sport rims recommend no wider than 275s.
If you check tire rack, and compare the conti summer performance tires and these, the numbers are...
Is the noise emanating from the hatch, or "somewhere" behind you while driving?
Look, I'm half deaf, but hear those little annoying rattles. But I can NEVER find them.
Go with the highest pressure / GPM pressure washer you can find.
I bought this foam cannon off amazon:

I tried a higher end foam cannon (brand escapes me). Both cannons performed the same. Don't expect...
Depends on how crazy you want to get.
Me?

Pressure washer. Foam cannon. Use Meguiar's gold standard soap in it. Foam cannon the car. Let it sit. Wash the wheels, tires, and wheel wells. Pressure wash the soap...
CONCUR: I'm mechanically-handy. I ALSO have access to a lift and tranny jack. So, swapping in the Performance LSD pumpkin for my sport's open diff was simple. I think I spent more time walking back and forth getting wrenches out than doing the install.
Doing it in the driveway, not knowing...
I lined my hatch with this still at $25 for a 10 pack, IIRC:
