Here is a good thread started by an idiot about the Sport's crap audio system:

When it is just ME in the car:
- I know the light comes on at startup. I do not remember if it stays on the whole time while driving.
(I AM HEADED OUT FOR ADRIVE SOON. Will see what mine does. I BELIEVE it goes out when you start driving without a passenger so you don't have an amber light...
Congrats!
I can tell you've been thinking about it for awhile; You have an Aug 2025 join date!
Other than the battery, maybe some extra seat wear from "poor people" like me that go to Nissan dealerships, and sit in the Nismos! (I go for the newest car in the showroom, and breathe in ALL the...
Better idea: When you remove the stickers from your windshield (Or get a new one) stick them on to these static stickers:

Then, tint the WHOLE windshield without holes in the tint. Slap the static sticker...
Just had a thought:
What if Nissan is recommending the F1B, F1E filters with the high bypass pressure so that there is less garf and crap to clog the oil solenoid?
A bit of bypass isn't bad. Eventually, all oil will pass through the elements. Under normal conditions, we aren't adding...
Yeah, back to our regularly-scheduled thread. The question also becomes, how much restriction occurs through the filter elements based off of viscosity? An oil with a higher viscosity would (in theory) be more restricted through the elements of the filter.
Problem is, I don't know if going...
EDITING THIS TO ONLY LEAVE THE PERTINENT THINGS, and not my commentary. Using the strikeout feature so it doesn't look like I'm hiding something.
Not sure if you are agreeing with your plane buddy or not, or his logic.
Oil filters do not have a pressure "sensor". They can only sense the...
I really wanted to post what you say above.
Let's say you get "high" diff pressure (DP) across your oil filter element. As long as the filter element is STRONG enough not to blow out, and make a hole for oil to flow unfiltered through to all your critical components, you are good to go.
If...
Lots of purse-swinging on this topic. But also, there is a LOT of contradictory info from industry folks with a LOT of experience with this engine. There are no good aftermarket oil filters with the Nissan “recommended” bypass pressure value.
Please post in here with any updated info that can...
I found the pdf of my blackstone report. One column is the first analysis they did. One is the current.
Some may say, "Blackstone isn't ANSI certified". Better than the smell / taste test I do.
I bought the tool. I have the bushings sitting around.
I have a lift and tranny jack at work.
I'm just scared that I'll get 2 of the 3 out, then not be able to get the next to budge, and strand myself on the lift. My car has NOT seen NJ winters, salt, etc. I'm not scared they are fused in...
OP, look in to Blackstone oil analysis. I think it is $25. One report isn't that helpful. A few in a row shows TRENDS. My oils still has too much (something. I forget what). However, it is trending downward. And whatever that element is, it is a byproduct of engine break-in.
I've done 2 now...
