I came out the grocery store yesterday and was almost out of the parking lot when I saw a note under my wiper.
"Nice car!"
Open it and the dude says he drives a Z also and listed his name/phone number/insta/Facebook, lol
Cool but kinda weirds me out too. That might be bc I'm in my 50s though lol
So driving to work this am the temp was the same as it's been, middle 40Β°s.
In the neighborhood the car definitely wanted to "go" a bit more than normal.
Get out on the roads after leaving the neighborhood, noticeably more growl from the exhaust under acceleration.
My entire commute except...
I hesitated to put that bc I didnβt want to be called crazy but I really don't believe it's the placebo effect. I'll know tomorrow am when I drive to work bc I am definitely in tune with how the car behaves on that route...
I removed my CAI lids and drove around, could hear the turbos more...not really the spooling so much but mainly the whoosh when letting off the gas on high rpm upshifts.
Drilled out the lids...Can't hear them quite as much..
BUT: I do know that with the lids off/drilled out, the engine...
I agree with this logic. I wonder what the overfill amounts to, 1qt, 1/2qt, etc?
Took a rock to the windshield by a dump truck going the other way, turned around to see if I could get any info off the truck (sometimes they will pay for a windshield), and immediately got hit by another rock...
I knew AMS and NISMO were the same so I was glad you posted that link...I guess I kept researching "NISMO" and that's why I couldn't find anything. My Google-fu isn't always the greatest lol!
How's everyone cleaning their NISMO CAI filters? Compressed air? Or are there replacements we should be using? My car came with them installed already, so I wasn't sure.
Well damn. I had no idea. My inflator stops on it's own when it hits the set pressure. I would have ran it a bit higher to listen for the horn!
I set it 1lb higher than the car calls for, there must be some discrepancy between the car and the inflator
