After saving the world one turtle at a time and then mailing off a package, I came home and these were waiting on me. Who was it that showed theirs off earlier in the thread? @KrackaC8? These are how the car should have came from the factory! So much better. Hard to really see the difference...
The car still wanted to push the ramp until I slid the ramp hard under the tire to wedge it. Then it worked perfectly and gave me the clearance I was looking for with the floor jack.
The other problem is me, I haven't used ramps before and it feels sketchy lol...I just have to get used to it...
I'm gonna have to do this. After seeing how the car responded to the oil change yesterday, a little extra oil should help. I drove the Mustangs hard like I do the Z, but they hold 10 quarts. 5K oil changes under hard driving was still maybe a little early.
Gaging the time stamps here, it only took me a smidge over an hour, using wood I already had.
Gave me a chance to hang out in the garage with some tunes and use my Japanese pull saw...which apparently I broke a few teeth off of so I guess I need to buy a new one. They're cheap.
Dunno how much...
I was thinking the same thing...but the only thing I have on hand is some leftover roofing shingles. Buuuuuut...a trip to Lowe's or HD might be a tick easier than trying to cut an angle on this 2x12, plus all the sawdust cleanup. You need to change your username to "Voice of Reason"

I saw an old post where someone said they drive up on some 2x's and then they can get the floor jack under the front of the car to the central jacking point.
I come out to the garage and hmmm...I've got a long piece of 2x12 and some other pieces already cut to size. No joke, these were already...
Funny you mentioned the scissor jack, HF has one for $23. I texted the wife and told her when she gets home, I wanna go out and get that jack. I'm glad we haven't left yet bc now I know I need to get a couple of those pinch weld adapters too. I have some rubber ones on my jackstands but...
Jacking my car yesterday and getting the jackstands situated....the whole process is a little unnerving. After seeing your pic, the obvious answer is 2 jacks. I guess I just never put any thought into it.
Changed the oil today and just got back from a spin. I can definitely tell the car likes the new oil. Power comes on much better. I use 5W30 Mobil 1. I do have a Stillen piggyback tune on it.
1st oil change was 1500 miles. The car has 6480 on it now.
Should we be changing oil more often...
I've never used AI but I was using it for a job interview and my resume, my friend told me to use it. As you can see, it's immediately turned into a rabbit hole since I had to pay for it π€£
