Thought it’d be fun to start a thread showing what kind of performance you can expect from modifying your Z. Below are my personal Dragy times running stock turbos, catless downpipes, and an E60 tune by SonicTuned, along with supporting fueling and cooling upgrades.
I’ve also included...
Not an ND, but I used to daily a 19' 86 TRD alongside my Z. I was in the same boat—couldn’t keep both once winter started creeping in. Honestly, the 86 was more fun. But comparing it to the Z isn’t really fair—they’re built for different things. The Z has more power and presence, while the 86...

I have no idea how much power I am making. Currently running E60-E85 and tuned by Mark Rainville @ Sonictuned. Trying to chase stock turbo records. Here are my power mods...

Thanks! I took those pictures with my new phone lol. I progressively went up in tire size on the rears as I burned through them. I went from 285s, 295s and now the 305s - which I think are perfect.
285s you can see a bit of stretch and the 305s have a bit of bulge? Definitely much wider.
Haha glad you like the setup. Here is what I am running.
Swift Spec-R springs 1.1" drop
Konig Ampliform 19" rims (19x9.5 +25 offset) (19x10.5 +22 offset)
Wrapped in front are 255/40R19s and rears are 305/35R19s
Z1 camber arms to set the front to -2 degrees and -1.5 degrees in the rear.
As for...
I have AAM catless full dps but I know they make resonated & catless full DPs. I would recommend those if you don't want it to be insanely loud.
My car with B6A resonated dumps and catless downpipes if you're curious...
Sounds good and greetings from PA! These cars have a really aggressive cold start sequence. Is there anything you would want to change with the exhaust setup or are you happy with the way it sounds?
