Standard Z vs Nismo is a night and day difference no matter even how many mods you make.
Honestly I was blown away how much grip the Nismo has and how it attacked corners. I've owned a Clio RS200 Gordini, Megane RS265 and GR Yaris Rallye and all those are monsters in Alpine type of roads, so...
I get you, and I was in the same boat and even had my Z Nismo up for sale, but the number of VR30DDTT issues on Z's is at 3 world wide, made me reconsider and was taken off the market.
To make things worse for myself I will be tracking mine, it's getting ProjectMu braided brake lines and...
All I know is Chris Forsberg in the Nismo presentation video was drifting easily and did state there was no magic wizardry done, so not sure what they did, but they did a great job of hiding the dash so that we can't see what's really off.
I'd say Traction Off all the way + disabling auto...
Being in Sport and not Sport+ is letting you down a little, as the shifts are faster in Sport+.
I'm sure you'll gain some braking performance with better rotors. Nismo have changed the rotors for the 2026/27 spec Nismo, so surely they know those rotors weren't ideal for lap after lap track...
Don't think if you jump onto some PS4S that they will save you, all tires have their limits. Like I've said before that crazy crash in Japan with a Z Nismo was on PS4S, so their not the holy grail either.
But indeed the GT600s in the wet and cold are dreadful to the point that I don't even know...
I know what tyres youāre talking about from all the info Iāve gathered and several AIs, they seem to be more predictable but not as high performance as the GT600 but weāll soon find out.
After a few track days Iāll see how the GT600 are, but chances are Iāll be on AD09 or Cup 2s after the GT600s.
Yes those are inferior to the GT600:
Feature
Sport Maxx RS
SP Sport Maxx GT600
Primary Focus
High-Performance Street
Ultra-High Performance / Track
Common Fitment
Performance Sedans (e.g., Honda Civic Type R)
Supercars (e.g., Nissan GT-R)
Wet Performance

Moderate (Prone to...
To my knowledge the Dunlop's RS are a downgrade from the GT600's, they might be better for daily and all weather conditions but by no means better at the limit than the GT600.
HKS Super Turbo is awesome just got mine but the Nismo edition of the HKS Super Turbo, not too loud just enough to make the car come alive and no drone at all. Plus you know with HKS that you're getting proper quality that increases torque and horse power that they are stating.
I'm concerned (well was) about the engines reliability mate that's all, so dumping money on a car that you're gonna push hard on the track (just armature trackdays) is always concerning if there is an underlining mechanical issue, sometimes I think I should've got a M2 G87. But let me tell you...
Not so sure the PS4S would be a good option that fatal accident in Japan in a Nismo had PS4S on, I'd probably go for AD09, Cup 2 or stick with the GT600.
But here is my take and I'm no Max Verstappen here but being gentle with your right foot is very important, you learn that very fast on...
My understanding is that the GT600 are a more track oriented tire with more grip, but edgy at the limit when they overheat and harder to predict their limits. While the GT Maxx RS are more linear in terms of their grip, they communicate better and give you more awareness of the grip limits.
The current Z Nismo has a brake ducking system, itās not a hole directing air, but it has these air ducks under the bumper to guide air to the brakes and the there are these metal plates that guide the air to the brakes.
This is very sad 32 old died was the passenger, car was projected into the tree must of been going blistering fast. Wasnāt the GT600 tyres either they are Michelins.
Scary to see a RZ34 platform crumble like that.
If the driver or passengers friends or family are here my condolences! ā¤

Yes mate it's almost non existent, it's been an absolute nightmare to get pads for the Z Nismo and CarboTech USA and Australia are a joke of a company to get back to you.
Luckily Endless now finally have them for the Nismo in the MX72, MX72 Plus and CC-Rg compound.
Nahhh unless a manual makes me more of a man..!? Donāt think so! I know Iāll be faster on track with my Z Nismo and not have that 5% probability of money shift.
Love my manuals and the Nismo Z was my first auto but if I had the choice Iād still get the auto. After getting into sim racing Iāve...
