  1. Q&A with Nissan US Director of Corporate Communications, Dan Passe - Submit your questions for discussion!

When will we get an online configuration/build and price tool? That would give some of us something to play around with before the real car is available in the showroom.
  2. Newman-Sharp inspired Nissan Z Renderings

Some people would maybe disagree with me, but I rank Paul Newman up there with Steve McQueen. Definitely one of the greats.
  3. Newman-Sharp inspired Nissan Z Renderings

Somebody that is good at photoshop should do a Newman-Sharp inspired red white and blue one.
  4. What purpose will your Z serve?

I don't intend to get rid of my Jeep, so the Z would share summertime daily duty with it, and it would share weekend toy duty with the Jeep as well. I can't imagine I'd get much use out of the Z during the winter months though.
  5. VR30DDTT: 300hp vs 400hp

The supporting mods wouldn't have any effect on the warranty. The tune on the other hand...
  6. BMW recalls Supra (again)... Why didn't you by the Supra instead of the Z?

Not a great comparison. The Infiniti will likely weigh between 500-1000lbs more than the new Z.
  7. BMW recalls Supra (again)... Why didn't you by the Supra instead of the Z?

I don't doubt for a minute that it attracts a lot of attention, but the design just isn't something that does anything at all for me. It's way too busy. It looks like a melted Z3 M coupe to me, and not in a good way.
  8. JATCO JR913E vs Mercedes-Benz 9G-Tronic Transmission

Magnesium is an interesting choice. I remember when I was in high school there was a Corvette that caught fire on my way to school. It had magnesium wheels. When they caught fire it was like looking at the sun, and it exploded a bit when the fire dept. put water on it. I know you never want your...
  9. Spoiler or No Spoiler?

    None for me thanks.
  10. The one must have feature on the new Z? / What is your wish list for the new Z?

Add no lift shifting to that. Twin turbos would really work better if you can shift flat.
  11. Any planned mods for your Z?

I'm guessing I would be happy with a turbo back exhaust, intake, and HKS BOVs, but I'm curious to see what all is available in the first 6 months or so.
  12. Which 2022 Nissan Z trim model are you getting?

Is open deck that big of a hinderance these days? I know guys do some crazy stuff with the K series Hondas and they're all open deck as far as I'm aware.
  13. Should Nissan bring back the 2+2 layout?

I feel like that's exactly why it makes sense for Nissan to only offer a 2 seater.
  14. Will the Z35 be your first Z? / Are you a Nissan Virgin?

Never even drove a Nissan. My uncle had an S13 hatch at one point that I got to ride in a couple times, but I think that's the only time I've even been in a Nissan. I wanted a Sentra SE-R really bad when I was 19, but I didn't have any credit so I couldn't get a loan for a new car, so now the...
  15. Are you getting manual or automatic?

I would think that should be fairly simple. Synchro Rev Match knows if you're in gear, and if you are, which gear you're in. I would think there would be a pretty simple way for Nissan to add remote start from the factory without any liability issues.
  16. Photos & Video: 2022 Nissan Z spotted testing in Arizona

I have no idea what either of those things are. Blind spot monitor and rear camera something something?
  17. Nissan Z roadster coming? What about a T-Top, Targa Top, or Shooting Brake?

I don't really care if they make a roadster version or not, but I'm hoping for t tops or a targa. I think t tops would fit this car really well.
  18. Nissan Z Instrument Panel Was Developed With Input From Nissan Race Driver

I'm not a racing driver, so I don't really understand the importance of the Diff Oil Temp gage. I imagine the whole dash is configurable to show which gages you feel are most important, but I don't understand why that one is shown in all of the press photos.
  19. 2022 400Z Pricing Talk

I expect it to be really bad, but thankfully I'm not in the market for another couple of years. Hopefully by then supply will have caught up with demand.
