  1. How accurate were the "leaks"?

I used to think cooled seats were unnecessary. Then I sat in one. My balls have never been more comfortable.
  2. Did Nissan make the right call by naming it just "Z"?

I would have liked it to be called the 300ZX just to keep with tradition and to bring back that history, but knowing how American minds work specifically, it makes sense to not use a smaller number than the outgoing car, especially since that would point out to people that the engine is actually...
  3. Who's going to modify the Katana?

I want to see one in the flesh before I say for sure, but I think I like the blacked out one better.
  4. How accurate were the "leaks"?

The "leak" is what made me sign up for this forum, but my interest is 100% because of the proto. As soon as I saw it and heard that it was 95% of what we would see in the production car I knew I would have to have one.
  5. Which is gonna be faster - Manual or Auto?

Auto. Unless the manual includes no lift shifting. The super short gearing might hurt the auto in the 1/4 mile.
  6. 2023 Nissan Z MSRP and other details from reveal event

Did he mention at all what the pricing gap between the packages would be?
  7. Production Z vs Z Proto Visual Comparison

It could just be the pictures, but the production yellow looks more flat to me.
  8. How accurate were the "leaks"?

Right? Guess I'm gonna get a spoiler after all. Hopefully it can be removed without having a bunch of ugly holes, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
  9. 2023 Nissan Z Official Release! Specs, Pics, Videos, Wallpapers

Pretty sure those don't list curb weight, they list GVRW, which is the max weight of the vehicle with the max weight allowed for passengers and payload.

Dan, any word yet on if no lift shifting is going to be included with the 6 speed manual? Would be helpful to not lose boost between gears.
  11. Spec Sheets: Tell us what YOUR 2023 Nissan Z build specs will look like and why!

It is listed as an option on the performance package, but so are all the other "Proto exclusive" options. It's too early probably to say for sure that it is or isn't an option on the standard performance package cars.
  12. Q&A with Nissan US Director of Corporate Communications, Dan Passe - Submit your questions for discussion!

I would imagine you could get touchup paint and paint them yellow yourself. Or maybe somebody will make a clip on caliper cover that would be yellow.
  13. 2023 Nissan Z Official Release! Specs, Pics, Videos, Wallpapers

That's less impressive than I was hoping, especially with the new launch control. I'm also assuming since I don't see mention of it anywhere that they haven't included no lift shifting.

How is track measured? If it’s to centerline of the tire then it makes sense that the wider tire would have a narrower track
  15. The new Z almost out.....Road Test and Reviews community to follow?

When he actually uses it. Remember when he was going to do daily videos for 7s month? And then when he was going to do daily videos all through August to make up for it? Or when daily videos were going to start again this Monday? I love his channel, but I feel like an addict who can't get his fix.
  16. Q&A with Nissan US Director of Corporate Communications, Dan Passe - Submit your questions for discussion!

I assume this will be covered at some point, but will the in dash unit have wireless android auto and apple carplay? Maybe a Qi charger in the center console? Neither are deal breakers by any means, but they'd definitely be nice to have.
  17. Sneak peek at Z stage before tonight's debut. Confirms "Nissan Z" model name

I need to see more of that Z31. Looks clean.
  18. Has one any put any money down?

I hope for your sake you got some kind of a contract that has all that written up in it. Otherwise I'm worried you're going to get screwed.
  19. Q&A with Nissan US Director of Corporate Communications, Dan Passe - Submit your questions for discussion!

I have a feeling that depending on color, bronze Watanabes are going to look great on this car.
