It's ok to be pedantic, but not to be pedantic while also being wrong. All engines are motors, but not all motors are engines. Internal combustion engines are motors by definition.
I've driven a couple slushboxes with paddle shifters and they still weren't fun to me. Now, if it were a dual clutch automatic, that makes a world of difference. Torque converters kind of take away some of the fun from what I can tell.
I loved cruise on my last 6 speed Wrangler. The pentastar had enough power to handle it with the wheels and tires I was running. My TJ with the 4.0L and the 6 speed was garbage when it came to cruise control. Even with 31" tires it would bog down in 6th gear on even the slightest hill and I...
I'm not sure if the Q60 version is rated for e85 from the factory, but apparently from what I've seen the Z is. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the change if it doesn't require different heads and maybe even pistons.
I could see that I guess, but I really hope it's an actual launch control, hopefully with adjustable launch rpm. Corvette has had that for a decade. I would like to think Nissan could do it too, especially in a performance car. And the fact that it only seems to come on the Performance model...
Dan, can you touch on this in a little more detail? I feel like most people haven't noticed this and are only talking about the launch control system in the automatic transmission models.
I have no interest in changing your mind, I'm just saying that your hard line stance against others having an option that you personally don't want doesn't affect you, so I don't understand why you keep voicing your opinion in every thread that mentions vented seats.
I very much hope Nissan includes it on the manual cars. At the very least on the performance cars. No lift shifting makes a HUGE difference on turbo cars.
I still don't get why you're so firmly against them. It sounds like something you wouldn't even use if the car had it, so what's your concern if it were to have issues?
How could it not slow production if they're mixing special paint for everything? Nissan isn't set up for that. Have you been to a modern auto manufacturing plant?
It would dramatically slow production. If you want a custom color there is nothing stopping you from getting it painted whatever color you want after delivery, but I don't want production to be slower than it needs to be so I can get my car when I want it.
Because his brother died in a car accident? I have several family members that have died in car accidents, and I'm still a car enthusiast. Nothing at all macabre about it.
Maybe it's because you don't actually know who Cody is. This is the guy you're saying shouldn't be hosting?
I can't speak on the HUD, but I'm pretty sure the Proto had a wireless charging pad, so that one seems especially odd. I assume they didn't add it because they didn't want to pay whatever licensing fee is required for the wireless android auto and wireless carplay, so if you're gonna have to use...
