They almost certainly didn't change the block. It's very likely down to pistons and heads if there even is a displacement change.

I'm not sure if the Q60 version is rated for e85 from the factory, but apparently from what I've seen the Z is. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the change if it doesn't require different heads and maybe even pistons.

I very much hope Nissan includes it on the manual cars. At the very least on the performance cars. No lift shifting makes a HUGE difference on turbo cars.

How could it not slow production if they're mixing special paint for everything? Nissan isn't set up for that. Have you been to a modern auto manufacturing plant?

It would dramatically slow production. If you want a custom color there is nothing stopping you from getting it painted whatever color you want after delivery, but I don't want production to be slower than it needs to be so I can get my car when I want it.
