Stock Z at car show?

What do you guys think about taking my stock z performance to a local car show? I've never had a car in one, so idk anything about the "vibe" at this stuff. Are brand new un-modded cars typically welcome? Most of the local car shows I've been to in my area seem to have a mix of just about everything from classic to lowriders to lifted donks and trucks. I haven't seen a single Z in the wild so I could end up being the only one ?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I may be overthinking.

A lot of shows will advertise something like "All rides welcome"
I don't see a issue with bringing a stock car to local show. Should be about having fun and checking out other rides. Enter one and see how it goes!

I would take it. These cars are so rare on the streets, it will be the first time people are seeing it. Many don't even know the RZ34 exists.
You will have people around it no doubt.

I have taken mine to a couple. All stock except under cover and carbon under the hood.

People love it. As said above, I meet many people who did not know the car existed.

Heck I did not know it existed until I happened to be a in a Nissan showroom one day.

A rare car like the Z? Absolutely. In fact, on brand new cars at a car show, tricked out is usually ricey and lame, in my opinion. Your car is perfect as it is. If it was a Mustang or something, no not at all. I think showing the car off as it came when nobody can really ever see them is actually the best way to do it. I wouldn’t want to see a guy’s desperate rims and exhaust ruining a perfect new car like the Z.

Just be ready for people to be curious, because they will be.

Honestly I felt the same way at first but after joining a couple of shows it was definitely fun and everyone was very nice. That's my experience but not everyone's will be the same.

you may be the only one there with a Z, but then again it may be a chance to meet someone else who has one that you didn't know about in your area...

You should. Wayyyy back I bought a brand new Challenger R/T black with the red stripes.

I put a Hurst shifter on it and placed 1st my class at our local show.

Everyone loves a cool car. Even if you win nothing you will still have some fun.

The Corvette guys do it all the time…. and usually have a sandwich board explaining why their Corvette is “one off” (Only blue Corvette built on a Tuesday with a “3” in the VIN number. Only red corvette with optional 4-speed ashtray and dual overhead visors, etc.). ?

Absolutely. Never be afraid to show how much you enjoy your car. The Z gets attention, like others have said, it’s rare and cool in its own way.

Case in reason why turbo supras from the 90s are 165k now for unmolested one, and all our favorites from the 90s are 30-60k.

10-15years from now when there’s none of these. People are going to regret not buying them, and will want them stock.

like the guy above me said, the corvette guys buy a new one and show it off with their white new balance shoes, the firebird crowd years back did the same shit, tho those are few and far between now, and in stock form command some good cash.

The Z may be a nice looking car but in no way can it be compared to the Supra turbo from the 90's and other than the look the rest of the car is from the dinosaur age.

Sure we can say that now, Supra wasn’t anything that special in the 90s (it was special but not as much as say the NSX), I have a 3000GT VR4, special now, wasn’t special in the 90s. We won’t know what the market will do as more younger folks turn into car guys and gals. I’m into 90s super duty trucks. I have two. They were 3k in the mid 2000s. Now going for 30-40k. Why? Because everyone appreciates the basic, manual features and no computers.

so with that, easy to say now. We’ll see in 10-15 years. People like dinosaur age, in fact car company’s have been taking about that recently. I’ve always liked Nissans, I wish we got the R34 Skyline, I’m over the complex computerized BS that governs modern vehicles.
