Ive been driving mine since June in a relatively big city. I havent seen another new Z on the road. Nobody knows what im driving lmao. Esp with the sword trim wrapped in black. I got rev'd on by a C8 Z06 the other day as he peeled off a turning lane. Lol I'll take that compliment any day.
Still one beauty of the new Z, rarity. I see lots more Supras and Cybertrucks on roads around my locals.

I'd say the weird color combos - Ikazuki/blue, blue/blue, rose/blue or red - will demand premium prices in the future, maybe.

What was in the email you ask? How about Nissan marketing celebrating gay pride month, and how 2 dudes would enjoy owning a Nissan Rogue. WTF!

Ok, some will call me a bigot. Don't care.
A giant corporation stops catering to your straight-dude sensibilities for the two minutes it took for you to read an email, and you just had to throw a hissy fit, huh?

You're not a bigot. You're just a big baby.

My wife agrees that 2025 is an appropriate time to make a discretionary purchase of a sports car. Z, GR Corolla or used 911 have been confirmed as candidates for me finally getting my last big senseless car purchase.
I was in a similar position and ended up going the used 911 route three months ago. A 2015 C2S. It’s been awesome and I recommend it!

My current car buy was supposed to be my last senseless car purchase as well but I’ve since decided I’m hopelessly a senseless car person so l still hope to add a Z eventually. We’ve usually had at least one Nissan/Infiniti product in the garage most of time for last 15 years and I love Z’s so just can’t let go of wanting one.

I need to approach buying a Z with caution, Toyota treated me well with my Corolla GR inquiries, no sociopolitical bs, and they are in no danger of going down. And as much as the Z leads, by far, my other choices, with Nissan possibly going under....oof, maybe gotta wait until 2026?
2025 might end up being a terrible year to buy an import of any kind. Depends on how these forecasted tariffs play out. But hat tip on those picks. Those are three of the same cars I’m considering.

I just can't see how Nissan can keep the Z in production, financially. 2025, maybe 2026, but that could be a stretch. The Z being in low volume is a nice thing really, rare breed out there.

What happens with warranty claims if Nissan goes under? Never been in that situation before. Might impact my Z purchase, hmm.

Good point. Future parts for a limited run car is what worries me. I'm living that now. I have a Chevrolet SS Sedan (essentially an Australian Holden Commodore) that was a limited run vehicle shipped to the US between 2014-2017. Any of the Aussies can attest it's a fantastic car (LS3 V8, manual transmission, and magnetic ride control). The issue has been with people getting parts. Anytime an SS is in an accident with minor damage, it's been pretty common for insurance companies to total them out.

Not a good vibe:

https://carbuzz.com/nissan-announces-new-chair-christian-meunier-ex-jeep/

"Enter Meunier, a French auto exec with a long history with Nissan and Infiniti. Meunier started his automotive career in 1992 with Ford in France. He also worked for Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz in the US.

Meunier Spent 17 Years With Nissan Before Moving To Jeep
Yeah, he worked for Nissan during what I personally consider the worst era for Nissan. Is he complicit in the terrible decisions Nissan made? Probably.
