My little Bean Burrito went to doggie heaven a few hours ago. 😢

That sucks man, sorry. It's always the worst part ☹

They're so damn fun though that I try my best to just be grateful for the time and memories we have with them. There's nothing quite like man's best friend 🙏

Thank you everyone :)

so sorry to hear this bro...
how old?
Good question, we got him from a shelter 5 years ago. They told us he was about 3 years old or so. Earlier this year we took him to a new vet and the dr told us he looks about 10-12 years and that sometimes shelters will lie about a dog's age in order to find them homes asap.

I've been thinking about a solution to take my dog in the Z. We already have a good (crash-rated) harness that we use when we take him in my wife's SUV. I think I can buckle him in to the seat belt through the harness.

The advice I'm seeking from you fine folks is:
  • Have any of you done in a two-seater?
  • What would be a good seat cover to get?
Dexter is about 55 pounds.

Alert for dog owners.

Our Collie might have had whatever this is. He was coughing. Took him to the vet. Did a canine respiratory PCR panel (negative) prescribed antibiotics to prevent a secondary bacterial infection. Seems to be on the rebound now. We caught it pretty fast.

Generally vets won't prescribe antibiotics unless they're really needed. In this case because some dogs in the area have gone downhill really fast, she didn't even hesitate.
