Right, I mean I would hope they wouldn’t be just literally lying like grade school kids to impress the Supra guys lol I’m pretty sure it’s 93 though

No surprise here.

My last car, a GTI, could pick up+30hp untuned from a downpipe. Tuned or JB4 was over +60hp (that's+60 just for the dp alone).
And, interestingly, that's with stock exhaust. There were no gains to be had with a catback on that car. I almost think the Z will be similar.

Impressive results for just a tune. That flat torque curve is promising. Just throw some 295/35R19 PS4S meats on the back and watch it pop wheelies. ?

Agree, these newer sports cars are setup for max efficiency from the factory. Usually an intake and cat-back exhaust only get you 1-2 whp gains. The biggest power adders are downpipes and a tune.

Its hard to justify $3K-$5K for 1-2 whp gains.

Supports what RicerX posted, lower than expected TQ numbers however probably due to LDPs only with that OEM corked exhaust.

How long have these engines been out in the Q series and people tuning them?
460-480 is that all?

Be a lot more fun than 382 whp for sure though
460-480whp is excellent, if on pump and just a DP. "Is that all?" a disappointment?

I mean, for the average tunable vehicle, that's decent, remember, as great as the Supra is, technically new ones currently need an expensive ECU crack, so that's a demerit of a few thousand dollars.

Unfortunately, for the older FM chassis this new Z is on, 480whp will be a handful. The BMW will handle that kind of power better due to a more sophisticated chassis

I don't disagree. b58 tuning has gone so far beyond 600hp now reliably it is nuts to think about.

fwiw the new ecu unlock $$ keeps dropping. Just this week there is a service doing it for $1300 now one week turn around
