Do we get the illuminated Z kick plate as standard on our performance model, thought I saw an aussie review that said yes as they are extra on the US version.
Great question! I just scrubbed through all the videos of our demo car, none of them showed the door sills.

Though I did spot floor and boot mats! So here's hoping.

The cargo space looks about the same as a 370Z, only this time no spare tire
Under the cargo mats looks same as my old 370Z, same sub, looks like they could have had a space saver tire in there

Yeah, I couldn't help but think that the installation of the sub in the space a bit of an out there move.

I know newer sedans/coupes are transitioning or have already from a full size spare, but not even a space saver is a bit wild. I suppose it balances out somewhat having a live reading of your pressures in the cab, but I'd feel a lot happier with a damn 5th wheel.

Bit of a damned if they do, danmed if they don't though, I guess.

Guess we will have to carry an automatic pump around to get us to the next tire place…I agree a space saver would be appreciated

From the few people that have shown it in US videos, it looks like it comes with one of those sealer pumps. The tools storage around the sub-woofer also appears to be just a hard foam, so it's likely you could just take that out and then be able to fit a spare tyre in the same manner as the 370Z - it might fit the 370Z's tool storage foam as well, otherwise you'd need a custom/third-party option.

There's really only two reasons why spare tyres are being left out in some places, both rather ridiculous:
  • Saves the manufacturer some money.
  • Lowers the weight, so the manufacturer can claim better fuel efficiency (to get around restrictive governmental laws in some places).
In some other places it's a legal requirement to include a spare tyre of some sort. (A little like Apple has stopped including a charger with their iPhone, but Brazil they had to include one. Apple also stopped including earphones any longer, but in France they had to until, a recent law change there.)

I’ve got some exciting news folks..

The 2023 Z is officially in Nissan Australia’s system! Just received official paperwork with cars being released from July.

Oh @West Aussie I'll save the best part for last! At this price point the dealer is certain floor mats are included as they are with other models. ?

So exciting news from @jezzza
For those of us in Perth, I’ve already called my dealer.
He said it’s still not in the AHG system yet (which most Nissans in WA use) he said admin Needs to update their system with Nissan Aus , but if it’s there it shouldn’t take too long.
He did say not to worry about any delays, it won’t affect where we are in the queue order and they will call to finalise paperwork as soon as it goes live

great news re car mats!!?
so exciting

My dealer has never once reached out to me proactively. I'll give them a day then ask for updated paperwork!
I don't think there's any major hurry. It seems each dealer is treated individually, so no dealer can get the jump on another.

I've also been told some dealers have ordered their own specific demo cars.

I am also dealing with them, had a call last week to tell me pricing was released, funny thing is I was the one who contacted my sales guy to tell him and sent him the link, then I got the call from onther one of them to tell me.
