Flush fitment crew, what are you doing about rubbing in the arch liners?

I recently put some meatier tyres on my lowered Z and I'm getting some rubbing in the arch liners. The rears were buzzing on a plastic tab on one of the bumper mounts - I trimmed the tab and that's mostly solved.

The fronts are hitting a bit of the arch liner that has a small bulge and are rubbing it away on compressions - my local touge road has some bumpy sections and I can hear the plastic contacting the tyre at times.

I'm okay to just let it wear away, but wondering what others have done since heaps of people on here have lower cars with more aggressive fitment to mine. Thanks crew!

You can heat the liners with a heat gun to move/shape them a little. With a bump you’ll want to check behind it, as that’s usually the noticeable bumps are there.

Looking for people with experience on their Z's pls.

What size tires? What suspension mods?

You're over stock overall diameter in the front and the back, that's probably why it's rubbing. Also if it's only on compression in the front, adjust the shock length so that the bumpstops fully engage before the tire bottoms out in the wheel well.

Same tire size as me and LMRS-1. This issue is what’s keeping me from coilover kits. Which kit are you running? And I suppose you’re at the highest height setting? Fortune auto rep told me they could cut me longer springs to reduce height drop but haven’t followed up yet. Was also thinking the nismo set up might be the lowest drop in ride height as for coilovers. Not really sure which direction I’m going. Still researching

Yeah it's the fitment not the size, they're only a few mm bigger diameter than standard, and I was getting the front contact with the stock tyres anyway. For suspension I'm with a popular Aussie brand - MCA. They can go quite a bit higher so that's always an option.

I was more wondering what others have done rather than looking for a fix because I've seen the issue mentioned and I'm definitely not the most slammed Z on here.
