I'm not an expert, and am only running the stock sway bars, but is that ball cranked WAAAAAY over against the limits?

If I extend the links will it relieve some of that harsh angle and also affect alignment?

The point of balljoints is much greater range of deflection.
This serves two purposes:
Less binding under dynamic conditions when that part needs to move
More range for mounting things when static

The current positioning of those endlinks does not look like it was correctly installed. The endlink should not be at the maximum deflection when static. The length needs to be adjusted so the bar is parallel to the ground (from that pix it's hard to tell what is where and how everything is configured)

Also:
why does that locking nut look like its super rusted?

EDIT:
Here is my SPL endlink on a z1 bar. There is some rotational deflection but not up/down
(this is the previous SPL mid link design, and before further modifications for air cups)

I didn't install them. If I reinstall them correctly will I need an alignment?

Yes those nuts are very rusted.

If the nuts still work, extending them looks like they may correct the angle

Sway bar end links don't affect alignment

but given how rusted they look i would take them off the car, throw them in the trash, and order SPL ones. Their listing says nickle plated for corrosion protection

Ah ok good. I'm getting the booted ones for more protection.

Are you giving Z1 money?
No I saw another brand, I thought it was SPL that has booted end links but I can't find them.😅

Correction: they're made by whiteline.
