I am wondering if anyone has any sources on some software that can change paramaters like Active Noise Enhancement. Anyone have any luck with ECUTEK or the similar?

Not from Ecutec. That can remap the ECU for engine tuning afaik. The noises come from the Bose amp & AV system. Complicated to explain, basically it has an Engine RPM input.

Here’s a quick summary:
  • Get Nissan dealership Master Tech to do it through the Service Dept. Some do it for $0 others will charge. Mine does.
  • No one has found an EZ solution (yet),
Like a hidden menu on the AV system screen. There is one, but no ANC/ASE options. It’s there on the user menus for the GTR- so I’ve no idea why Nissan didn’t code it for the new Zs !?!

Short answer: Search the forum for VXDIAG or ANC/ASE for all the info you need. It’s here.

I did this with Consult R2R (right 2 repair) it took about 15 minutes. You can buy it here: https://www.nissan-techinfo.com/dept.aspx?dept_id=25 this is the same software and documentation the dealers use, just sold by limited time periods for consumers. You also need a J2534 pass though device https://www.topdon.us/products/rlink-j2534?_pos=1&_sid=bbf8e63aa&_ss=r (you can find them for 200on sale from time to time on eBay).
There are a few YouTube videos on what to change but it’s easy enough to navigate to it in the c3r2r software.

Curious if this could somehow be cracked. I'm sure with enough determination, it can be free to all.

Folks are using consult III+ w/ VXDIAG. I believe you can use an older version of consult 3+ without having to login to the nissan website for access. I have not bought the hardware to try this - but i did find this…

Maybe- but it does phone home for the licensing file so you have to login to Nissan.

Yeah - that is the login process for the app once you open it. The download itself is behind a paywall, but once you have the app it does still want you to signin to even open it.
