My guess is that’s the tire fill alert. I don’t remember if you can turn off the horn honking.

Well damn. I had no idea. My inflator stops on it's own when it hits the set pressure. I would have ran it a bit higher to listen for the horn!

I set it 1lb higher than the car calls for, there must be some discrepancy between the car and the inflator

All you need to use is a light solvent or degreaser and it comes right off, my car had it too, was a non issue removing it.
My had all over the car when I decided to buy it same day. I was at the dealer 3+ hours while that guy was polishing it. They told me to come next day but I said no.

I got my replacement Z1 engine cover and installed it last night. The previous one had a fitment issue with the top part where the grommets weren’t properly aligned. Looking much better now.

I did get my Dremel out and trim some of the piece around the intercooler hoses so that it doesn’t pinch the wiring for my TruControl as much as it did out of the box.

Are those ZSpec fasteners for the radiator cover? The ones with the rubber threaded grommet things?
If so, do yours come loose? I have that identical Z1 panel and got the ZSpec kit that replaces most/all of the plastic rivets, 28 pcs, I think. Anyway, I've only installed the ones for the radiator panel, and every time I pop the hood I can turn all of the bolts by hand. Maybe I'm not tightening them enough. Idk. Looks good, but annoying.

jacked it up to trying to polish it but then realized how shitty the oem paint was. I need to order heavy cutting compound and cutting wool pads

These cars have a self healing clear coat which acts like a really soft clear. Let us know how it goes.

I have scratches and a degree in collision and can verify the self healing clear is complete bullshit.
Agree, I have the same issues on my Z. I haven’t seen any evidence of self healing, even when heated.

No one should have to buff a car from 2023+. Maybe clay bar but that's it. I don't understand people crying about the paint. I think the cars are fine the way they are.

that's the thing... the car has 89 km and the paint looks super rough as if the dealer washed the car with a broom. so obviously i want to correct that.

what is your logic behind your theory of not buffing a car that is post 2023?
