Has anyone installed this conversion kit? Wondering what your experience with the install was like, maybe some tips. Thanks!

If you’re not installing bigger turbos, my question is why bother with blow off valfes?

I'm also looking at these and would like to know as well. I'm looking at an enclosed CAI (probably Nismo) and thought these would be good to get some noise out of the turbos.

Well, personally I think CAI (Nismo is fine, there are some others) Plus changing the exhaust to a new one that you like will give you all the sound you need. But I don’t like the rachety sound of blow off valves. I’d definitely choose the quieter restrictor, if it was up to me. I don’t mind that Nissan went with diverter valves. The Z can be as noisy as you want it to be though… maybe I’m not into turbos that much.

But I advise to do it after your warranty is out- Nissan Service won’t like you modifying it like that. If something does go wrong with the engine, or gets recalled… You’d have to put it back to stock, a total PITA. Unless you have an understanding Dealership.

I found out that I don’t. They’ve closed down and combined a couple of their Service locations near me & are kinda hurting rn. So- they’ll use any excuse not to do additional work. Maybe there’s no decent margin in it for them & it ties up their service resources? I dk why, but they warned me I couldn’t start modifying my Z if I wanted to retain Nissan’s Warranty.

But it’s your car & if you want bigger turbos & blow off valves- go for it. Just go in with eyes open.

Same here. Just looking for a little noise. I got the kit but it seems a bit more to the install than expected.

I’d probably add the blow off valve kit, IF I was paying someone to install biggerTurbos. It could get done more easily at the same time. Doubt I’d do it myself, maybe with the help of someone more knowledgeable. That engine bay looks tight!

I got it done. I had it professionally installed at a local performance shop. I absolutely love it.

Buy my K&N CAI. I'll slap the boosted 6 open element filters on my Z. I get the noise, you get the enclosure.

Win - win.

Great observation.
Maybe you could pipe it into the climate controlled cabin. True cold air intake, all the turbo noise you can stand, and you'd save some money on air filter changes.
