If I swapped out it would be with the AWE. I've seen my fair share of aftermarket exhausts on the Z. The one concern that keeps coming back to me is ground clearance. With two people in the car, a full load of fuel and luggage is it going to scrape.

This is my exhaust on the OE suspension. The car has been lowered on Swift springs after this pic. The lowest point on the exhaust is below the diff. I've taken a couple of road trips with my wife, with a full tank of gas and luggage. I have not scraped. I hope this helps.

Interesting that you havent scraped. I was very concerned with the low clearance when i installed the awe exhaust. We measured a ground clearance of 3.5 inches at the lowest point in the rear pipes. I guess because its in the rear it wont scrape as much? How much clearance do you have on yours when its lowered?

Does the 15-20% louder apply to the automatic trans exhaust
Not as much as stock because the mufflers may differ between the at and mt. However, the auto transmission might still be slightly louder full throttle due to the shorter gear ratios, so it maintains a higher rpm between gear shifts.

Has anyone done a comparison between AWE Touring and MBRP, being both are 3 inch duals.
My main concerns would be any Drone, it seems there have been mixed results with or without drone.

From what I have read, and feedback from a friend who has a MBRP, it does have noticeable drone on the highway. The AWE is totally free of all drone.

Didn’t end up getting an exhaust because I think I’m going to save up for an hks or armytrix. However the lady was nice enough to gift me a couple things for Father’s Day.

Nice mods. My two cents, I went with Borla ATAK cat back exhaust. Went this route due to previously having a Borla on other models, has a nice growl, especially running through the gears. Doesn't sound like bees in a can, no drone.

Can never go wrong with borla. Borla has such great reputation, and the tips are pretty sweet. That’s also something I and considering due to them being around for sometime.

Purchased my 24' Z Performance the other day and already ordered AWE track edition hoping for a more satisfying note the stock is disappointing. Is it available from AWE to change from track to touring if by some chance its too ridiculous or is it the other way around? I'm just rolling with the stock down pipes for now.

You can switch between Track and Touring modes and vice versa. You can get the AWE Touring conversion kit for about $410.

I went with the remark single exit. These engines aren't the best sounding and the single exit makes it sound the closest to a classic jdm sound in my opinion.

I’ve been looking into this one, from your perspective how does it sound, do you like it?

It's only really loud when you get on it. At highway and cruising speeds, it's very comfortable sounding. The build quality is very good and install was very easy. Overall I'm very happy with it.
