Hi All,

Introducing myself to the forum as a previous 370z owner and now an excited owner of a 2024 Sport MT. My love affair with everything motorsport started years ago in highschool with a handfull of Rx7's and 240's I wrenched on up until the last 10 years which has been mostly filled with hot hatches as daily drivers. I had my 2014 370Z for a few years but let it go after I had my daughter and bought and built an MK1 Audi TT which is used mostly for HPDE events in its current state.

Onto the new Z - it has been a fantastic car in the 5k miles I've put on it. It all started last Oct when i first starting seeing inventory in the Chicagoland area, a few phone calls later and I walked out of a dealership near the WI border with mine for thousands off msrp. I fitted swift springs, which aligned just fine with the factory hardware at -2 degrees camber front and back. I installed a ST front sway bar and this helped make the handling more nuetral. I installed a "Rockauto" rebuilt caliper upgrade off a infiniti sport model with rotors and their DFC active performance pads for the front and track pads on the rear to help even out the bias (increadibly all for about $450 to incl rotors and fluid). I decided to keep the stock muffler and installed an ebay 350z y pipe, remark midpipe, and some generic lower downpipes. The stage wheels are 18" and were a clearance item with a good performance orientated offset and are a staggering 40lbs lighter than the stock 18s with the Potenza Sports I had installed. The misimoto front plate mount was a solid purchase as well.

The plan is to sign up for a few events this summer and see how it perfoms and continue to tune from there!

Nice looking car. How was the remark Mid Pipe? I have considered going with their Y-pipe and Resonated mid-pipe coupled with the AT Exhaust, since the I like the sound of the AT exhaust.

I also went from an MK1 AUDI TT to a black Z. Mine is a performance package. I remember before driving away how they parked both cars alongside each other. I regretted giving my TT as a trade in. But I was tired of all the repairs... since I bought it used.

I'll have to recheck on the wheel weight but based on the tire weight per Tirerack, my bathroom scale was showing a difference of 24-25lbs on the stockers from memory. These flow formed wheels are 17-18lbs in 18x9 and closer to 20lbs for the 18x10. I bought tpms sensors through Rockauto and my dealership couldn't program them as a heads up to anyone purchasing aftermarket wheels.

The remark mid pipe is a nice product, quality welds and pipe to flange fitment. The finish is more satin than polished depending on the look you're after if it matters. It's definitely a step up in quality compared to my ebay y pipe and lower downpipes. Your proposed exhaust should have a nice tone to it, I'm loving mine for the minor investment. I did something similar with my 370z. I always seemed to dislike the tip fitment on aftermarket exhausts and defaulted back to the stock muffler after (3) different systems and just opened up everything else to 2.5"

I'm curious about your infiniti brake, did they bolt on ? Did you have to get new brake sheilds ? Tell us some more details.

I have a Z Sport as well, I was looking into getting a brake kit from Z1, but the price has held me back a bit.

The Nissan Akebonos from the 370z Sport are the same as the Infiniti Akebonos and the new Z Akebonos on the performance model.

To upgrade the Sport you must buy the whole set of Akebonos and it's recommended to get the Z1 stainless steel brake lines at the same time.

The front dust shields are fine but the rear dust shields are too small and you must either cut the lip of the dust shield, remove, or replace with the performance dust shield. Both removing and replacing takes a lot of time and money (to replace) and Nissan USA even told me they recommend just cuttting the lip off with a grinder or saw :)

The rotor size is different so you can either get OEM or Value Advantage performance rotors from Nissan USA or go two piece while you're doing it

I went through all the repairs as well, literally just replacing the steering rack on it not too long ago. My daughter won't let me sell it so it's getting antique plates when I go to renew next month. Fun fact, mine is a 2000 and doesn't have a rear spoiler just like my Z.

I had to buy shorter banjo bolts for the stock lines to work for $10. The top of the dust cover on the front has a small lip that I cut off with an abrasive disk as 5thZ mentioned. The dust shield swap will require you to disconnect the lower ball joint to access the bolts from behind the spindle. The job literally took me 30-45 min per side. I bled them with a $5 bleeder bottle kit and bam, brake upgrade for around $450. I choose the infinity calipers in silver for the contrast behind my graphite wheels but these akebonos are plentiful and come in many different colors. I did this same upgrade on my 370z base. You could do it cheaper with plain rotors but i went for the raybestos wavy slot style for the looks (the high carbon content is a plus as well). You'll also need a 5mm spacer if you run the sport wheels on the front at a minimum.

Wasn't aware about the spacer. Actually required? Does it hit?
