here is one of the first NISMO street exhaust installs ive seen

we have seen many of the track and honestly I thought it would sound more like OEM but its actually closer in tone to the Track

it has a full muffler vs the track and even the performance OEM

Huh that actually sounds better than I expected. Slap the lower downpipes on there and you'd probably have a good balance of being aggressive without being obnoxious.

What does this mean? I'm not a very technical person but I'd like to understand if there would be something additional to getting the NISMO exhaust and installing that.

Sounds good, not sure if I'd like it a bit more aggressive... I don't think there will be any gargles or pops with other exhausts available. :/

This is a cat-back exhaust like most you will buy. Downpipes are the pipes that go from the turbo down to these and have the cats on them(for this car, not all cats are on downpipes).

This particular car has an upper and lower segment to that downpipe each with a cat on it. You can get full race downpipes(no cats, illegal for road use, will not pass inspection) downpipes with high flow cats or just replace the lower section(easier to reach and work on) while leaving the top section with cats in place.

This will make any exhaust set up louder with the full race pipes being the loudest as well as being the least restrictive with most possible gains.

I'm just going the lower downpipe route to keep things simple while still getting a bit better sound.
