So Z1 just released titanium versions of their touring and competition systems. I was leaning towards the AWE track, but might go for one of these now. I just wish their video would say if they have the stock downpipes or not 😅

The titanium Z1 might be a bit lighter, but if you use the Z1 Y pipe with it you have 2.5" pipes before the merge, where the AWE is 3" all the way. AWE should have more headroom for power. I'll be keeping stock downpipes for a while probably so not super concerned about that. More concerned with the sound! I think they've had aftermarket downpipes in some of their exhaust vids so it makes it kinda hard to tell how it'll sound on my car with stock downpipes

In the lower picture looks like the stock DPs are on the car.

Yo, before you do anything. I had the z1 touring exhuast, I got ear damage from the drone, especially during the summer where the exhuast was hot. Also it didnt sound good at all, like air to be honest. Now I know the titanium track has no mufflers and is much louder but just be warned, the original exhuast had donwpipes and I didnt even know, so It could be the same case with the track. I kinda felt ripped off 😐. Anyhow, I switched to awe touring, it sounds much better and 0 drone, then I decided to get the track conversion kit considering im keeping my stock downpipes and it sounds much louder but only from about 2-4k rpm, then it starts sounding like the z1 touring exhuast 4-7k rpm, Im guessing its the bottleneck on the stock downpipes since theyre so small. So yeah, I suggest awe touring with ldp will sound sick. But stock downpipes, if you dont want drone then go for awe track, otherwise you can stick to the z1 titanium exhuast for weight savings and sound (if the sound in the vid is without dp's)

No where near as much as z1 , maybe a little at around 2k but definitely bareable in comparision. However, the cars idle is kinda loud when the ac is on. Best thing is, if in case its somehow too much drone for your ears which I doubt tbh, then you can just get a conversion kit instead of having to swap the whole exhuast. Both sound good and similar at full throttle where the the track is just louder at around half throttle going through 2-4k rpm. The only thing i must say about this exhuast is the ground clearance at the rear is a bit low, about 3.5 inches. You wont scrape at all on stock height but just watch out if your car is lowered, in case.

Sounds "drone-ey".

Full disclosure; I have a bone stock Sport 6MT. The exhaust is a coffee stir straw as far as flow goes. I hate fart-can sounding exhausts.

I listen to exhaust clips in YT with my headphones on, and depending on the day or how it is recorded, I either love them or hate them.

Up until the video above, I was leaning towards the Z1 touring. The rev portion (IMO) sounds fart can.

Thing is with exhuasts and drone kind of differ based on the transmission. With the autos, youre generally at 2k rpm which is maximum drone rpm when youre on the highway 9th gear, wherease on the manual youre generally above 2k rpm which has less drone. When I had the z1 touring I had to put it in manual mode on the highway and downshift to 8th gear instead of 9 so the rpms above 2k rpm which resulted in almost 0 drone.

Think I need to hang out with some of you all that have different exhausts on your car, as well as figure out what I want this car to be.

I may go for the AWE track based on this haha, I do like that they have the conversion. Looks like the Z1 could convert if they decide to sell the rear portions separately, but they're not right now. AWE sale right now is very tempting.
