This is Z1's Cold Air Intake for the 2023+ Nissan Z is an easy-to-install performance upgrade that substantially increases flow over stock, providing improved power and response. I upgraded to an Air ro Air Intercooler system so have no use for this anymore. This is in great shape as seen in the photos and sold as is. This was on the car for about 15k miles. Asking $250
One of the best methods of increasing the output of turbocharged engines is by eliminating any restriction for air entering the turbo. Doing so reduces the pressure ratio across the turbo’s compressor and reduces the turbo speed required to produce the requested airflow. This means the turbocharger can do its job more efficiently and deliver cooler/denser air to the engine. The 3.0t (VR30) in your Z is fed by two Garrett turbochargers that ingest air from the car's intake system. Air is drawn through the intake inlet, passes through the air filter, and is routed to the inlet of the turbo where it is ingested and turned into BOOST! The factory intake system was designed to be cost-effective and flow just enough air to meet the performance needs of the stock car. The Z1 Intake System was designed to eliminate the restriction of the factory panel filters, improve the air path between the core support and turbo inlet, and in doing so provide a substantial increase in airflow to support greater levels of horsepower.
THE DESIGN
The first step in improving the air path was to replace the stock corrugated rubber intake piping with a smooth multi-ply silicone hose. By providing air with a smoother path to travel, intake turbulence is reduced resulting in improved airflow. The Z1 air intake system features two newly engineered air filters, designed exclusively for the Nissan 3.0t engine. These filters use a high-density media capable of capturing most particulates while providing exceptional airflow. Inside of the filter, a velocity stack has been integrated into the base to optimize airflow and increase air velocity. To contain these large-media filters, we developed a sealed airbox manufactured from rotomolded plastic. The sealed boxes keep hot air from the engine bay out of the intake, only allowing cool air ducted from the inlet to enter the intake!
THE GAINS
Below you can see the dyno chart, and flow bench data comparing Z1 intakes to the stock intakes. Due to the various levels of tune affecting final numbers, we have opted to show gains on a stock tune ONLY. This shows the expected performance on the average Z. Additional power gains can be expected on cars with larger turbos or higher levels of tune.
