Wireless charging solution?

There is a panel under the rubber mat that may also pull out and allow for a more flush wireless charging pad installation

If possible you could then tap into power behind the port on the passenger side.

That did not work. It fits, but will now charge my phone. Not sure if it was DOA or what, but I tried it in/out the car w/w/o case.
Wondering if this is a solution?

Correction. It does work when plugged into the outlet either in the passenger foot well or center console.

I use this Satechi vent-mount (no bluetooth dongle). Kills two birds with one stone for me in that it provides an accessible and secure mount for my iPhone as well as providing wirelss charging. Don't need the extra bluetooth function. The coiled cord behind is for the radar detector...haven't set up the mirror tap yet.

Slipping the iPhone into that lower compartment is way too inconvenient for me in terms of the screen being readily accessible.

All it takes is money...they can put a LOT of cool stuff on our cars if they can sell them at that price or get a decent ROI.

Many people couldn't care less about a wireless charging mat in their cars and would rather go with one of the many aftermarket solutions whose form is more useful to them.

My wife's Lexus has a charging pad and AA (my droid always kicks her iphone off, lol).... and was about $4,000 less than my Z. Very nice to not have to fumble with a cable.

Aaaannnd... IMHO.... the reason why AA is so glitchy is because there's an Apple geek infiltrator that sabotages the software, lol. AA works GREAT, except Amazon music skips half the songs in every playlist. Weirdest thing ever. That's something an Apple guy would do to drive an android guy nuts, lol.

I u destined. That is the first thing I upgrade in my vehicles is the stereo and speakers. I always go to a wireless CarPlay.
Your phone kicks her’s off? Can you set her’s as the favorite? That way if it sees both it goes to the favorite.
