When will we see the new Z? / What Autoshow will new Z debut at?

Where is the rumor coming from? Also what is the significance of the dates to Nissan. I’m new to the Z, last sports car I owned was an 18 Camaro Ss 1LE

I looked at whether it corresponding with first 240z delivery in NA. Though that as on a 22nd, the month was October.

Maybe not as far back as the 240Z but over the few year maybe they made some announcements.

5/23 = "Go Ni San" in Japanese or more simply “Nissan Day”

For what it's worth - I've heard nothing about anything on 5/23.

This link is to a article about a release of the LM P1 program...the very last paragraph gives some incite into the date.
If you google “Nissan May 23” there are a few new releases littered over the years on this date.
As to this rumour, all I can say is I have also seen it doing the rounds, on another forum and “Cars Advice “ here in Australia as well as a couple of other publications, have picked up on the date and parroted it....however they make sure to state, that at this stage it’s unverified information.
So who knows????

Detroit also isn't taking place. Instead it will be replace by the outdoor event Motor Bella .

Article states that LA auto show is still happening. Maybe we get to see the Z in Nov!

Dealers expecting them end of Dec in Australia
We have the camo shots of test driving now, and given the 370z timeline from testing to reveal was only two weeks, it could still be the rumoured 23rd, or at least in the next two or three months.
Due to Covid, they will have to think outside the box.
Given such high interest around the world it wouldn’t surprside me if they did a live steam across as many platforms as possible, similar to the Proto reveal which was a success.
Of course nothing is ever as good as in person, and that could follow.
But they may not want to risk waiting for any live show incase there is a setback covid wise.

It will be interesting to see how they tackle it for sure
