When do you upshift (6MT)?

Nope. I've had several manuals. My first was a 1978 Datsun B210 1400cc 4MT (honeycomb hubcaps!), and my current is a 2012 Infiniti G37S 6MT.

At this point I rarely look at the tach (or the speedometer ) and just drive with my mood.

I seem to recall that the G37 manual (yes, I read that one too, but years ago now) said not to use 6th unless over 60mph (I'll have to go dig that up), so when I saw 37mph for "normal" acceleration, I was a little surprised.

Anyone out there who has a Z 6MT, I'd love to hear how you think the car feels in 6th at 37mph.

If I ever get my hands on one I'll report back.

I'm trying to remember if the B210 had a tach. I don't think it did.

Okay, I dug up the manual for my 2012 G37. It's even more tame in 5th and 6th. Rip it up and throw it away!

Now sure why I remembered 60+mph for 6th. Nothing about that here.
