And here, now. My Mazdaspeed is likely due for replacement soon and right now I'm leaning toward either the Z or Mustang.
Here is my take on this. I tracked the '04 MSM for a little bit with the swapped diff gearing, great handling of course, just not enough power. Now the Mustang, with lots more power (460hp) is a blast on the straights, BUT pulling out of corners definitely feel the weight difference. The new Z will be lighter on these situations, falling in between the MSM and GT, but will have to see how quickly it will lap the entire track.

Don't get me wrong, the GT with added camber plates set at -3.0 front, feels very light on transitions, it's a very fun car, the S550 chassis is sorted out, not what you think of typical older Stangs.
