What happened to Passion Red?? Nissan only making 4 colors?!

Greetings fellow Z enthusiasts! I was wondering if any of you know what is going on with passion red? I've been checking everyday nationwide on Nissan's inventory search and haven't had much luck finding a 6 speed performance in this color. A few weeks ago 5 Passion Red Zs showed up but unfortunately they are all Nismo models. Are they trying to make it a Nismo exclusive color? Are there any scheduled builds for 2025? Any clue what's going on? Thanks!

quality control and production issues with that color for over a year now. those 5 NISMOs or so seems to be the only passion reds built for 2024 model year. to my knowledge there wernt any sport or performances in that color but only 2023s

Hi. Yes, I noticed the same thing. There is a part of me that wants to be hopeful that perhaps Performance and Sport models will finally arrive now (maybe as 2025 models) after seeing those 5 Nismos. But I don't want to get my hopes too high! I remember early last year you mentioned there were over 1k 2024 builds scheduled but none were passion red. You were correct. Can you let me know once you're able to see if any passions are scheduled for 2025.

The Blue, red and yellow have all been withdrawn as an order option in Australia

At least one Passion Red MY24 made it to Australia. Auto not a manual but very surprising to see one sneak in, as I thought I might have had the last one.
This is almost certainly the last one to date

It was advertised on FB group by a dealer who had it in stock. I would assume it pissed off a few people that had been waiting on Passion Red orders and were told ~9 months ago "no car for you!"

I really wish someone from corporate would chime in to provide an update for those of us who have been waiting over 2 years for this color. I tried reaching out to upper management but no luck.

When does the 2025 scheduled build list come out?

Perhaps that will let us know.

I agree. Even sticking to solid paint colors would help things so much.

They stopped offering most colour options in 2023 in Australia. They fulfilled many of the outstanding orders, but weren't taking new orders. I may have got the last white one - ordered in November 2021, delivered in March 2024. I was told in mid 2023 that I might not be able to get it in white and was asked if I had a second preference. I told them I'd buy a white Supra instead. I got my white Z.

The only colours available in Australia currently are Rosewood, black, gun and silver/black, which is the only two tone option. Nismo is now only available in Silver/black, Slate/black and black.

It wasn't just the two tone they were having trouble with (but they still haven't got it figured out, mine is... not good). They couldn't get the tri-coats right, which is why red, white and blue were dropped. Yellow was dropped because it was unpopular - to the point Australians didn't buy the full allocation of Proto spec units. That may be why Boulder was dropped, too.

You're super lucky!! I've been trying to place an order for the exact same spec for over a year and all the dealers across the nation are telling me Nissan isn't letting them order passion red at this time.

Thanks! It wasn’t easy for me either lol. My dealer didn’t place my order because they were waiting for a red one to be built. I grew frustrated then someone here posted a Facebook page for a dealer in Quebec that just got one (cancelled order I assume) so I flew there asap and purchased and couldn’t be happier. Red really is the best color and I’m glad I was so stubborn in my wait for one

Are dealers in Canada still getting them? Maybe I have to fly there and drive it back to the US?
