I'd say 1) Sway Bars, 2) Exhaust/Tune because either or both can result in modest - significant power gains, and 3) better tires.

Swaybars/ swiftsprings or coilovers. These 2 really changed the dynamics of the car and a much better feel/stiffer suspension. Next i already purchased the k&n intakes and stillen comp exhaust.

Hey guys! I just wanted to thank you guys for helping me get my dream car a couple weeks ago! I’ve already tinted the windows, got a full ceramic coat and PPF for the front bumper, hood, and headlights.

What do you guys think are the top three mods that you almost HAVE to get on the Z? Specifically the Performance model M/T? I’ve heard from other threads that the Front Sway Bars are almost a must? This is my daily driver, and I do not plan on tracking this car anytime soon or in the near future.

Also, is there any way to add/install Remote Start? Thank you guys again for your help and tips/advice!!!

Unless there is something new I don't know about, you have to depress the clutch to start the car. remotestarters don't work on M/T. I have the same car as you.

Thanks a lot! I have not done any mods in the interior, but I really do want to change out the sound system inside and install a nice subwoofer! Just not sure how to go about doing that since I wouldn’t be installing it myself
Sound system would be great in that car! Match the sound quality to the look quality. Let me know if you do interior stuff. I can help with some screen protectors.

Actually there is a way to have remote start on manual car, and it's not something new.

I haven't found anything anywhere about remote start.

Now, these might not be necessarily best bang for buck as this is gonna cost you 7.5-15k , but There's 3 glaring issues with the car right off the bat;

Tires (or wheels in general): The stock tires are horrendous, get those things off your car as soon as possible. Me personally, i thought the stock wheels were a little plain and committed to new wheels long before it arrived... like at all, before there was even a test vehicle at my dealership. Turned out they weren't all THAT bad in person, but I think the 8/9/10 spoke look is still more or less the meta for these and far superior to the stock set. If you look across pictures on the forum and insta, you'll find a LOT of people have gone a similar look.

Exhaust/downpipes: No one wants a car as quiet as a bare bones, entry level Mazda 2. The stock exhaust is terrible, there's no two ways about it, rip that thing out first chance you get (just don't straight-pipe it)

Finally, the suspension: Stock suspension was SUCH a disappointment when i first got the car, but even before then in some video's on youtube you could see the issues, with massive amounts of body roll. It looked like a car with super soft suspension from the 90's, just terrible. Good set of coilovers and a drop in height of 15-30mm (depending on your preference) is almost a necessity to make it feel like a sports car. And honestly, you'd be amazed how much that small drop in height improves the car's overall profile.
To give you an idea on how bad the body roll is; my tech and I were getting body roll on the car when rolling it onto the hoist using the wheels BY HAND.
