Just wanted to share a few videos stock sound vs modified. I'll see if I can dig up a stock startup clip, might be buried somewhere

Stock Exhaust Launch

Tomei + Z1 Setup and Pulls

Any regrets?

No regrets so far. Got everything installed at the start of the month, so it's been a few weeks. Been told that the car is really loud now and my house vibrates in the cold mornings, but I do not mind at all... my hearing might already be gone.

Any drone in the cabin or rattling? I’m in between getting this or the awe track exhaust

Sounds great. Did you do downpipes and remove the lower set of 2 cats or is this catback only?

Everyday highway/regular commute, i would not say that there’s drone. Keeping the car in standard mode + auto keeps the revs pretty low and you just get a nice, deep grumble sound.

However, sport+ manual mode at around 3-4k, you do get a drone that can get to your head a bit. But after the ~4k range, the turbos kick in and everything is good.

Sounds good and greetings from PA! These cars have a really aggressive cold start sequence. Is there anything you would want to change with the exhaust setup or are you happy with the way it sounds?

Greetings! I am satisfied with how it sounds as of now. Maybe in a few years downpipe the car and tune it, but for now i’m okay

Did you have to modify anything to get it to fit?

Bumping this old thread to get an update.

I am thinking of doing the same (tomei y-pipe and z1 Ti). Now that's it's been a few months, any regrets/ things you would do differently?

I am iffy about the Tomei type d rz34 charcoal canister relocation. This is the main reason I am looking for an alternative. Just don't know if it's for me.
