I was in Ireland a few years back during an abnormal heat wave when I discovered Magner's cider. This stuff is wonderful on a hot summer day! I won't drink any other hard cider.

Naturally, I love Japanese Whiskey - all 3 are a great pickup if you see them in your area.

Shin is a wonderful Hibiki replacement, I'm still trying to find something to replace Yamazaki 12

So you're blood type isn't Fosters?

My Wife is a Vodka Girl too, if you see these 2 - grab'em. I'm a Bourbon/Whiskey guy but these 2 I'll sip.

Reyka, Icelandic vodka: Super dangerous.......smooth, zero flavor and CHEAP (this is her #1)

Haku, Japanese Vodka: This was her former #1, tastes like Sake on steroids

I definitely want to add a Japanese whisky to my collection. Don't think I ever tried one.

I got into them 15 years ago, back when snobs turned their noses up at them because they were Japanese and not "real" scotch. Yamazaki 12yr was $40 MSRP back then......thanks to the hypebeasts now it's $140+ (if you can even find it)

Hibiki is another awesome one that got jacked up by hypebeasts

Iwai, This guy right here is $30-40 a bottle and tasty on the rocks, a bit on the sweeter side

Shin 10yr is smoother but more like $70-80 a bottle.

What's the flavor profile like? I'm a bourbon man myself.

LMAO at people turning their noses up at it for not being scotch when it legally can't be. That's like getting Scottish bourbon.

This is my small collection. I'm adding 1-2 bottles a month.

Nice Additions - Really Liking Where This thread is Going !!

I've Lived in Japan for Over 5 Years, The Whiskey there is Truly Sublime.
When You Have A Culture So Disciplined & Dedicated to Not Just WHAT They Do But HOW They Do it. Every Aspect of the Culture Is That Way - It Really Shows In The Whisky.

My favorite While In Japan - Good Old Fashioned 'High Ball' . . .

I see that TX!!! - $30 a bottle and delicious over ice.

Go find some Woodford Reserve WHEATED - It's already at the point you can't find it nicer neighborhoods in Houston, you have to go to the hood where hipsters are afraid to go.
