I stopped by Fred Haas Nissan near Tomball on a recent nice day when I took my 240Z out for a drive. I was thinking it would add some cred when trying to get some info on the new Z. A person from Nissan corporate happened to be there & I was able to visit with her. Unfortunately, I did not obtain anything useful, other than in her opinion mid summer to fall was more the timeframe for cars to be at dealers. I hope she was being pessimistic and was not privy to actual dates dealers would begin to get the new Z. They were not taking names for a sales list or deposits. Not much info, but I thought I would share anyway.
She wasn't being pessimistic.

curious to when we will start hearing from the local dealers. i started getting calls a week or two before the zupr4 landed letting me know when they were on the way...

...then several times afterwards when the were unable to move them quickly 😂

My condolences on your losses. I did not get to go. Ended up in Arkansas with my GF's family that weekend.

i shared the following post in another thread, but i wanted to add it to the texas thread so that we can see what we may be paying in our area.

so bad news and bad news...

after talking to the new car manager today, he said there will be $2495 dealer mark-up plus the add-on. he also said he's not sure, but there may also be a market adjustment on top of that!

he said it would be a month or two before the Z shows up. normally when nissan launched a new model, they bring a car by the dealership to teach the salesman and mechanics the ins and outs of the car.

then the cars usually goes on sale about a month after that. he said so far no one has shown up from nissan yet and feels it might be about a month before that happens.

has anyone in tejas heard from their local dealer?

Pricing add-ons as expected. Shipping falls in line with what was leaked recently, and the recent photo of the yellow Z's in port falls in line as well. The Z was at Clay Cooley Nissan earlier this month. Haven't heard of it being at any other DFW dealerships though. I really think Nissan is pricing themselves out with these add-ons and dealer mark ups.
