Man that looks good. I love that red. I was trying to locate one close to me that color but the only dealer that had one didnt want to move on price. Ended up with a white with blue interior for 10k cheaper.
I like how the white with blue interior looks, its a good combination! The only Z they had where I bought was the gunmetal type grey (don't know the color name) but they said they could get the Bayside blue or red and black combo. I love the blue but liked how the red and black combo looked.

Interesting, I found that the wheel well lining near the outer edge sticks out more towards the wheel than the other areas. When I hit bumps it would just hit that portion, so I am working on shaving some of that down.
If its the plastic liner try a heat gun. You'll have to get it hot enough that you can't touch it. Use the back of a big spoon or something to move it around. Do a larger spot than needed to keep from punching through. If you get the heat and area just right you can almost move that plastic around like clay.

Yeah, its the plastic liner. Thanks! I haven't thought of that yet, seems like that would be easier and more esthetically pleasing to the eye than shaving it down and trying to smooth everything out after. Appreciate the advice.

Make sure the surface of the liner is as clean as you can get it, at least in the spots you're going to heat.

If you're going to do it with the liners still on the car I'd suggest getting a good light under there so you can see the surface of the plastic. If you've got the light in the right place you'll see the the surface finish shift to be slightly more glossy when it's almost ready to move. After it cools it will do that sheen/gloss shift when you heat it up again, which helps monitor the temp and area you want to move. And no need to hit it with water or anything to cool it down. Hold your tool in place for about 20 secs and it should be cool enough to stay where you moved it.

Trick is not to overheat it. That plastic is thinner than it feels when you tap on it, but it's pretty easy to work with if you're careful.

I honestly think the red with blue interior would look nasty. I wish they did that color combo.

Recently had the following installs:

-Riaction GT-1, Linear coilovers, about 1 3/4 inch drop all around.
-Front and rear SPL camber arms
-20mm Garageline spacers all around
-wheel alignment cause the shit pulled to the side hard when I got up to 50mph.

I love the look. Not so low that wheels are tucked, will keep spacers on until I get my wheels.

The car looks amazing. I love the red. One showed up at my local dealer and for a split second I thought about trading in the black for the red. The car was gone two days later. So I am lowered on Swift Springs and I have the garage line 20mm front and 25mm in the rear. I am not rubbing at all. There are no rub marks on the tire or the fender well. Now I do scrape going over speed bumps if I can’t hit it sideways. But the damage is minimal. Just that piece that hangs down in the front. For what it’s worth.

Appreciate the love, yeah I had to get the red when I saw it! It's a rare color on a pretty rare car from where I live (I have never seen a new Z driving out in the wild.....ever) and I live north of Los Angeles. Nice upgrades on yours! Enjoy it and have fun ?
