I think we've all heard rumors the next Z will be the "spiritual successor" to the 240z, something smaller, lighter, etc....(but will it have enough power)?

It got me thinking... is this going to be more like a remake of the old 240SX? These rumors seem to describe the 240sx to a T... light weight with a 4 cylinder turbo. Or how about a TT remake of the 300zx??

Another big difference is one is the sx had small rear seats too. Do you want to see that?

I definitely want to see a 2+2 setup even if it results in mostly useless rear seats. I think not having any backseat at all limits the amount of potential buyers for the car and sports cars definitely need as much help as possible to sales success... or else they get axed easily.

You know with all these rumors of a few nissan sports cars, it makes you wonder if it will be like the Z to the SX relationship back in the day.

The IDX being the "Z" in the relationship (the more affordable, practical entry version) to the Z35's "SX" (high powered performance version, more expensive)

I agree that Nissan needs a 2+2 sports car to compete with the likes of the toyota twins and the pony cars. They might not be that comfortable but trust me people use them and many will not shop for pure two seat sports cars. I know for me personally I never considered a vette for that reason alone. Small kids yo.
