How I missed this, I'm not sure. Great job Bob, it looks sweet.
OEM wheels powder coated in "polished aluminum" (will try to get better photo when the sun comes out.)

Looking forward to the different colored center caps.
Finally got a little sunshine and here is a pix of my powdercoated OEM wheels. I have ordered a set of blue, and another set of red Z" center caps to go with either the blue car or the red brake calipers. (from a fellow on the Facebook New Nissan Z page who 3d prints them to order. )

Dude, YES!

The black wheels trend has been killing me, I've been wanting to see the Performance wheels in a more traditional color, and I love it!

Man the black version looks stealthy but the bronze looks a bit more flashy. I like both, but bronze is more of an acquired taste. Not everyone will like it. The thing is, the curb rash is too big to be fixed with touch up, so I gotta repaint the whole rim, but then the other rims are older, so i cant have one rim looking brand new and the others looking a bit older, so I might aswell paint all of them, but then repainting all of them the same oem colour is just a waste of money. ?

I like the Bronze.

If you don’t have a color yet try Prismatic Powders. They have so many variations of bronze.

I will be changing mine to bronze when I change tires. Probably Dark Bronze II

https://www.prismaticpowders.com/search/bronze?
Yeah thats alot of bronze. The type of bronze really depends on the car colour, the darker the body the darker the bronze you can go Imo. Im leaning more towards the proto spec bronze considering it is coupled with the yellow calipers. Not sure what matches closest to it but Ig ill just search. The thing is, the colour codes with the rays rims are just not available which sucks.

You can order free swatches from their website to get an idea of how they look in person.

Maybe satin bronze chrome, yankee gold or metallic bronze.

Ive never seen the proto wheels in person so hard to tell for me.

I had a 2024 mustang gt with sinister bronze performance wheels and the combo was so nice. Subtle and different.

Wow that looks really good. Been wanting to do this on my Z as well, can I ask what the color code of the powder you used was?

The shops invoice listed the color as "polished aluminum". And they put a clear coat on.

I had a curbed wheel on my Q60 repaired, and they used "bright silver" to refinish it. Apparently that's the typical OEM color for most silver painted wheels on Japanese brands

Did they do any prep on the wheels first, or is the powder coat simply on top of the stock color?
