I'm Living This One Right Now, Here Now Training Up the New Hires For Move In & Start Up Just After the New Year . . .
Only experience I have related to chip manufacturing, was a part-time job in college, cleaning chip facilities. We had to put on bunny suits, and carefully clean certain areas, so as not to introduce dust or other contaminants into the area.

Funny thing is those suits aren’t there to protect you, they’re to protect the product from us!! We’re big dirty particle generating factories !!!

Washington Post:

House and Senate leadership met Tuesday to try to hammer out an agreement. They did not emerge with a deal on what to include in the final bill, but they agreed that they must act quickly to prevent chip manufacturers from bypassing the United States and investing overseas, according to a person familiar with the talks, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive negotiations.

Some analysis, like Kevin Tynan over at Bloomberg Intelligence, think automakers will never return to pre-pandemic levels of inventory. GM CEO Mary Barra said as much earlier this year, according to GM Authority:

“We’ll never go back to the inventory levels that we were in the past,” Barra said in a recent online chat with Rod Lache, the managing director of business analyst firm Wolfe Research, as quoted by The Detroit Free Press. “In all the tragedy that surrounded COVID, we have learned a lot on how to strengthen our business, run leaner, work with the dealers, use data analytics to make sure dealers are ordering the right vehicle. There are so many elements where we’ve learned to run more efficiently that we’ll never go back from.”

German Court Rules SUV Owners Can Be Fined More for Breaking Traffic Laws
The ruling sets a precedent that treats SUVs as more dangerous to public health.

For that second one, the same could be said for powerful / fast cars, especially in the hands of boy racers. Maybe governments should just ban the sale of all cars over a certain weight, height, and power ... limit public sales to electric nana cars that have a maximum speed of 50km/h. :)

These Are Your Cars' Most Frustrating Features
It seems a lot of you are deeply frustrated by auto stop-start.

Auto Stop-Start is plain idiotic and I personally hate silly key fobs, especially the ones without an actual key! They get ruined over time with dings, chips, and scratches, and are massively expensive to replace. Just bring back a normal key that is easy to get remade (unless you lose it) for a few dollars at any key cutter store. Having to use your phone or smart watch or whatever is even sillier. :(

^ Well, one staffer nominated the C8 as the worst (he doesn't like the styling), but for all the others it didn't rate as either best or worst.
